He'll walk with some time served in a nut house on a PTSD claim.

How about we put him in a staight jacket, hold hum upside-down with a crane for thirty minutes, then dip him in a river a few times?

Well, this has now subtracted another 15 points from my Faith-In-Humanity meter which is now up -15,705.

As for the punishment...just shoot him.

wouldn't be ironic to water-board the shit out of him?
No, that wouldn't be ironic at all.

Just desserts maybe, but irony... it would lack a shit load of that.

#1- this site looks like a tabloid to me. a bunch of trolls sitting around making up random shit and blowing out of proportion various news stories. most likely, we would have heard about this in america if it was real.

#2- If you actually enjoy reading about this shit, spending time reading about other peoples traumas rather than doing something productive, you are part of the problem.

Just read the article to my gf, who's retired from the Army, she said she's not even surprised. Apparently similarly awful and/or disgusting situations happened on her last base, too.

<< Wot makes it doubly-bad, for me, is that the kid's mother participated. I suppose I could have excused the soldier's behavior if he had PTSD, but unless she was afraid of HIM, she should have stepped in to stop it.

Even if she was afraid, she should have stopped him. -_-

Hi. Welcome to the world. Regardless of your opinion of whether or not this is "real", you should probably open your eyes to the fact that the US Media doesn't report EVERYTHING that happens. Also, if you had any sense, it would have probably occurred to you that the military is very likely NOT going to divulge a story about another "crazy soldier"--god knows they're not going to want people thinking that another Fort Hood is happening.

Also, you're replying to this thread, too. You read enough of this "tabloid" story to form an opinion (btw, did you read the linked story from England? probably not...) so what, exactly, have you done?

tl;dr: Read news from other countries.

Yea, reminds me of one time where a speaker came to my highschool a couple years back. He had been put in prison for drug charges so thats what most of the speech was about.
However at the end he got a little off topic and mentioned that a few cells down from his a child molester had been put incarcerated. The molester didnt even last one day before he was sent to the hospital due to nearly being killed by the other inmates after they found out his crime from a guard.
Just shows, doing horrible stuff to a child makes you one of the most hated people on earth, even if your in a place full of murderers and thieves

OT: I feel horible for that kid, I hope he never sees her again

You know, i can't even begin to image the special kind of fucked up you have to be to do this. Parents have ever right to punish their children, but this passed the line of acceptable and kept on going off the edge of the world. I simply can't think of an appropriate punishment that i can say here, and not get banned or suspended, so i will just make a vague suggestion and let you guys figure it out.

this is exactly why some retards shouldn't be allowed to have children.
i'll go write a 200 page essay to the government to explain why i find psychological tests and tube tying so important for the future of our country..

Small point of contention: He did not "waterboard" her. He claims to have held her under the water (which is horrible enough), waterboarding is different from this. The papers are using the term waterboarding along with the fact that he's a soldier to give it some connection to military torture when there is none.

Don't know why they're sensationalising it, it's bad enough already.

But he should be approached and on the spot have to recite the alphabet backwards in 30 seconds, z, y, x, u, w, sorry that's wrong, now come with us...
I live in perpetual terror that the police are going to pull me over and ask me to recite the alphabet backwards, I now I'll fuck it up! If they waterboarded anyone who got it wrong I'd never get in my car again.
Oh, so instead of pretending to down her, all he was really doing was drowning her for real. Damn, that takes a load off my mind.

To think that was a soldier, maybe he snapped due to the discipline the army could had trained out to him.

Not that I'm saying I pity the man, but maybe he just isn't sick. Just snapped.
Anyways, I think the best thing to do is to let him stay in jail for half a year, to let him cool off and rethink that nasty shit. Don't think the guy is pure evil. Even tough torturing your own daughter IS really cruel...

[sub]In Soviet Russia, daughter waterboards YOU![/sub]

I think he should be waterboarded. An eye for an eye and all that, 'though I suppose Gandhi had a point when he said "An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind."

We never peaked. its been downhill ever since we created fire and primitive weapons :p
Yes, for every caveman warming his family, there was a caveman burning them.

Anyways, this "man" is a perfect example of why humans are considered so offensive we even hate ourselves. If other lifeforms did exist, I would probably let them or even beg them to destroy us.

Technically that's not waterboarding, that's just ol' fashioned drowning. What a god damn monster, why haven't they thrown his ass in prison?

This is exactly the reason why idiots shouldn't breed.
It causes them to do something moronic and dangerous to their children. And that's perhaps the worst thing that I've ever heard of to do to a child.
At least justice was served,

His daughter has been taken into care and Mr Tabor was charged with second degree assault.
GOOD!

#1: If you weren't looking for conversation about a variety of issues, you shouldn't have gone to an ONLINE FORUM. People are going to talk about things that matter to them. the only troll i see here is YOU good sir.
#2: Isn't being aware of problems and discussing them so that we may come to some sort of societal consensus about their merits and relevance, better than not being aware of problems at all? Ignorance is bliss, until you are the one in pain and the rest of the world is looking in the other direction
that is a nice attempt at a dodge, but ultimately a fail. "awareness" of something does not = actually doing good things and focusing on being positive in life. if what you enjoy is reading about peoples misery, then you should consider removing yourself from the gene pool.
And what was i trying to dodge? Awareness is the first step. Many years ago, parents were allowed to do much worse to their children, and there was no social system to stop them. If society had not become aware of the problem, through the discussion of everyday people, things would not have changed. Four or Five decades ago, this incident would not be given the attention it deserves, as it would be considered social acceptable. But due to the reasonable discussion of people through various social mediums, that has changed.
As to your other point, no i do not enjoy other peoples suffering you pretentious twit. What i enjoy is talking about everything and anything under the sun, even topics that make the skin crawl. Why? because they bear discussion if this is to change into a better world for real. If we turn away at everything negative, not only will a lot of people suffer needlessly, but nothing positive will ever really happen. You can focus on the positive all you like, in fact i implore people to do so, but if you refuse to accept that there are things on this planet that bear discussion and action, no matter how unpleasant, then you might as well be living on Mars.
