Keal sat back. Time's like these he remembers ever damn soldier he lost. Ryan, Kelly, Liam, John. All dead. He still had nightmares about John. Friggin' terrorists might take prisoners, but they also like to make gruesome videos. Keal still remembers that day...
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey Keal, how's the dog?"
"Not bad, she's being looked after by my ma while I'm away. Damn, but I miss her!"
"Who, your mum or the dog?"
"Who do you think?"
John started to chuckle as the Black Hawk flew over. John looked up.
"Well, there's our ride!"
The four soldiers started to pack up their stuff when Kelly looked up and shouted, "What the hell's that?!" He was pointing at some kind of pole pointing up from a nearby ruined building. Seconds later, the RPG fired. Another two followed. The hovering Black hawk tried to turn and get out, but one of the three RPGs hit the cock pit, out right killing the pilots.
The fireteam ran to their positions, shooting at the terrorists now pouring from the building. The RPG fired again, this time gouging a chuck of building out. John looked up.
"That things gonna be the death of us! Kelly, on me!"
He and Kelly had leapt over the wall and ran at the building, spraying. They ran from cover to cover, closing in. Keal and Tim were giving covering fire. Kelly got caught up in an hand to hand battle, and pulled his combat knife out. As he impaled a terrorist, the dying bastard had lifted his AK and shot Kelly between the eyes. Kelly had just crumpled like a puppet without strings.
John didn't see Kelly go down, and over reached himself. As he reached the RPG building, a "Dead" terrorist had jumped up from the rubble and slammed John in the back. John had spun and sprayed bullets into the enemy, but another came up behind John and brought the butt of the gun on Johns head.
As John was dragged away, Keal and Tim were told to fall back and meet up with Team Foxtrot.
-----------------------------------
The two weary soldiers returned to base, too tired and sad to salute. As Keal stumbled into the commanders quarters, he muttered, "We lost two."
The commander had told him that he should sit down and look at something on the TV. As the TV flicked on, Keal saw one of the many terrorists yelling something at the camera, then turning it to show three men. The two gunners from the Black Hawk, and John. Keal watched, stunned, as the terrorist shouted some more and shot all three in the back of the head. John fell down, more lifeless than Kelly.

Keal shook his head, and he was back in the car.
"Sounds easy enough, lets get the rest geared up and go!"
