"Good enough." Striker said. It was going to have to be.

"The more i've been thinking, the more it seems like someone is setting up this mission to get us killed." He said, "no support, no surveillance gear, no backup beyond the second car. Either that, or someone is trying to see how good we really are." Striker finished.

 

[Havegun]

"Myeah, it does seem strange, to say the least. If this was some bad action movie, I'd almost suspect we were being used as a distraction, along with this Axel guy."

"You know, I hate to be the one to say it, but we are payed to shoot and keep quiet, not think. And honestly, the more we think about it, the less of a chance we will actually finish the OP. I would much rather get home first before deserting." Chris said over his radio.

"Chris, you may be content to just follow orders and all, but some of us have more than just the mission itself to worry about" Jonah replied over the radio, "We may be paid to shoot and keep quiet, but that doesn't imply not thinking, we're SEALs, not some frontline Army grunt. We've got more than just some mission to accomplish, there is a stand still going on, and we're the tipping point that may just keep this from blowing into another world war. And the success of our mission depends on us thinking. The implications of the Brits getting us out of here and not our own govt. when it's common knowledge we're on the other side of the border just rubs me the wrong way is all. I'm a doctor, and my job is to keep my patients alive, one way or another. What comes with that responsibility is telling my patients the risks of any procedure. This just happens to be one."

"Besides, they want to get close enough to start puttin holes in us, they need to have 30 years of ninja training. I don't let anyone escape unnoticed."

Keal leaned forward and laughed, "Ninjas? They won't get close enough anyway. I'll be dug in with a heavy machine gun."

Keal looked out the window at the passing hills and then turned his head, "So, how much longer until we set up the OP?"

"If I'm reading these signs right, we should be coming up on the Highway into the city soon, although..."

"First, we need to find someplace close enough to our objective to observe it, but far enough away that we are unlikely to be spotted." Striker told Keal. "Preferably someplace with a high vantage point. Next, we secure the area, and set up defenses. The easier the last can be accomplished, the better. Then it's all just a matter of gathering intel and determining when to hit the target."

"Yeah, it's pretty much what Striker said. We're staying outside of the city if possible, I've found a couple of possible locations on the map for the O-P, so it should be doable. We'll take a closer look when we get there, I reckon in one-and-a-half hour or so."

"All ya really need to worry about is following the car in front of you, David." Striker said, wondering if he was falling asleep back there. "Or were you planning on going off on your own?"

"Got my Irish Passport, might allow me to move around more freely, just flash and I transform into a tourist, you know, check out the sights, spot a target, assassinate guard, you know...holiday things..."

Just thought I will point out now that using your passport would not work, its obvious that they are looking for some white males. Also the country knows its about to go to war, do you really think Iran cares about its holiday business. If they see a white man they're gonna start turning you into hostages.

"Holiday things?" Striker wondered "Remind me why I'm not Irish again? That sounds like its right up my alley. Although... This 3-15 zoom scope allows me to do all of that... From a mile and a half away."
