I never really knew where to find a good, solid MTG forums which helps newbies to the local gaming store like me out, so until I do I figure I would ask this question:
I'm building a black-Red-Green deck for a local, 14 player tournament at my nearest card shop, it is mainly eldrazi, but it also has some nice damagers in it, however:
I only have 7 Green cards that include the eldrazi theme, namely:
Growth spasm x3
Nest invader x1
Kozilek predator x2
Awakening zone x1
7 green cards, 8 black cards, 19 red cards, 6 colorless
And I'm wondering if it is worth having to fiddle with 3 mana colors, and if it is, how many damn reds/Greens/Blacks lands do I put in my deck?

I have been out of the game for a little while, but I always stopped at two colors. If I used more I found that unless I had ways to search for lands I usually ran into some issue of not having enough of one land color. I miss my white/black angel regen deck.

Sorry I coulnd't be more help, Just be sure you have a way to beat/compensate missing one mana color.

EDIT: Yup all the sites I used to check (and can remember) are MIA, sorry and good luck.

I genuinely have no idea what you're talking about.
MTG=Magic the gathering, the escapist has posted plenty of stories about it as, well as many webcomics doing the same, most recently "Critical miss"

Try The Gathering. I don't know the site but it shouldn't be too hard to find.

Sorry I'm not much more help, but I'm a newb to this myself (I run a Red/splashed Black deck built by a friend when I play FNM).

Is the tourney type II? If so, I'm not much help, as I play entirely casual. However, I would recommend keeping green for the mana correction, it's just a shame that there is really only one mana fetch card in the set.

If you find that you can't run enough mana correction, then I suggest dropping a color. It's way to hard to run a tri-color without it.

I've got some Evolving winds, is that what you mean by fetcher?

Wait, they reprinted Terramorphic Expanse under a different name? Odd.

Anyway, yeah, that's a fetch land card. If you're going tri color, I recommend running four copies of Terramorpic...er, Evolving Wilds. Between that and the Growth Spasm, you should have enough correction, assuming your cards don't require too much color specific mana. If you're running mostly Eldrazzi it shouldn't be a problem, though. You're biggest concern then will be mana ramping (increasing your total by more than 1 per turn), but that's what the spawn are there for.

Without seeing your entire deck list, I really can't be more help than that.

You could also throw in a couple Llanowar Elves for mana ramp.

I think he's doing Type II, so he can only include cards from the latest set. Thus, no Llanowar.

I thought Llanowar got reprinted...

I'm not sure. We play tournaments at our local shop, so I've no idea if they're I or II.

Honestly, after testing it out myself in a game of Magic solitaire, I just got rid of the black(Too expensive with the corpsehatches being 5 mana while only giving 2 drazi), threw in some bramblesnaps and Elvish visionarys, and called it a day. I will, however thank everyone for their help. It has helped me learn that if I do make a non-fail tri-deck, what to throw in.
