I was kind of hoping that this would be the one place I hang out on the internet where we could avoid "hurr, what's there to castrate" and "wish he hadn't been caught" jokes.

Hating Bieber is trendier than liking him, it would seem.

Justin Bieber > his fans > the guy in the article > the haters.

This thread is kinda disgusting. Let's remember we're talking about a human being being murdered and butchered.

There's a few too many folks here letting the 'internet-lynch-mob' mentality speak for them.

Hmm.

Last I heard Bieber's voice has been getting deeper and somewhat better sounding. Castrating him is just going to send him back to his more high pitched and more annoying sound. :/

Assuming the killing part of the plan fails that is.

the convicted killer was a huge fan of the Baby hitmaker - and even has a tattoo of the teen on his leg
He's only missing a video diary, a condom balaclava, and a shoddily made bomb:

Ehh insane celebrity stalkers, no imagination these days.

Why the fuck does anyone serve two life sentences?
That's fucking dumb.
Well, this may have been answered, but I didn't want to read through everything. So the way it works, you serve a life sentence, you have the chance to get out on parole. If your parole is accepted, your -second- life sentence then starts, and you have to wait again before you can get paroled on that sentence. Also, in some States, you can serve a life sentence if you live through your death sentence. There have been a few cases of people living through old sparky, then having to be let out because they fulfilled their sentence. It's basically a way for the justice system to force people to stay in jail no matter what.

On top though, I don't see why so many people hate Justin Beiber. His music isn't bad, it's not great either. I don't know how it could affect anyone's life so much that he wants to kill him, then castrate him. Which to me also seems a bit weird. Why do both? If you are going to castrate him, then kill him, the first part won't really matter outside of pain, and there are better ways to inflict pain. The only thing it can really do is humiliate his dead body which is just plain rude.

Planning a murder is illegal
You do something illegal = you get punished
Pretty simple logic really
by that simple logic i should serve 100 consecutive death sentences.
also, what about military leaders?
Well I guess I should put in there also that you need to get caught to be punished
Also the fact that all illegal things don't have the same consequence and therefor I hope you saying 100 death penalties is a bit overexagurated.
i could get into a bus, look around, have a daydream about murdering half the passengers in different extremely painful ways, get off at my stop and go crunch some numbers behind a desk. switching between murder images and regular life is like switching the light-bulb on for me.
now i wont go and do it for real, obviously, but if i were to, i would have a plan to kill hundreds if not thousands before i get caught. multiple plans actually.
I don't know how laws work in differet countries but I've got the basics in my country (Finland)
And here what you are describing "thinking" isn't an actual planning phase, you actually have to have thought longer about it and think through your plan before it is concidered planing. Like finding notes in your home saying how you'll excecute a busload of people the day before x-mas. That would be concidered a plan, in simplicity.
The thing is, the little I've studied is all in Swedish and my English words I'd need for a proper explanation are not words I know so therefor it might be a bit vague.
But me walking over a bridge seeing someone leaning a bit over the fence and my brain going "Kick him down" is not an illegal act. That's just your brain farting in your face.
yes but my planing is a bit more... severe.
i woudl create a plan of how i would follow a person, find his routine, organize a vehicle to grab him in, move him to undisclosed location, manipulate his body till his lifeforce is out, get rid of the body and all the evidence. rinse and repeat. my plan that i make up on a bus WOULD work in real life. so many criminals forget the simplest things.... my plans are elaborate, very elaborate, even with timetables sometimes. but i dont write them down so they are just floating in my head. those hundreds of ways to extinguish life...

Yeah, I still think they are only thoughts since you said yourself at the start of this discussion that you wouldn't really do it. I mean to turn thid around a little, many children, and of course adults too, fantasise for example about being in the LOTR or DBZ or wathever other kind of world kicking the ass and killing hundred of enemies.
Same thing? Maybe not, but it is still just a thougt.
The thing is for example people who know the law well (a few of my teacher for example), since they know the law they can also think of how to counter the law, so they openly admit they are sometimes thinking about the "perfect crime" that won't be covered by any laws. But they are still just thinking even if they have all the small details in it.
They haven't told us any of their plans but would be nice to hear :D

Sure, many of us have considered it, but plotting is a bit more ambitious than most, methinks. Honestly, I don't really dislike him, but that's because I've seen so little of him, so all the hate kind of confuses me, since it seems this is one of those things people wouldn't know about unless they opened themselves up ton it or were harassed by it like the way bronies push mlp at people in such an overbearing fashion. Of all the people I know only one likes him, and she's 9. Hell, even Hansen got around more than this kid, and now they're all but forgotten. I dunno, hate him all you want, I guess, but it's not cool threatening his boys like this.

People are just jealous the kid is rolling in millions of $$$ because he was born to be marketable.

If I was Beiber I wouldn't give a shit about what the internet thinks of me, because I'll sitting on my private island in my villa getting fanned by naked girls (or naked boys, whatever) and enjoying the celebrity life while the internet trolls waste themselves away in front of their computers telling me how much they hate me. Whoop-dee-fucking-doo.
Oh and meanwhile the rest of the world will continue to shower me with money for my next sell-out hit.

Well, even if they get rid of Justin Beiber, there will just be a new one popping up on youtube. Why bother?

A man has been arrested for allegedly plotting to kill and castrate teen pop sensation Justin Bieber in New York last month.

WIN: A family winter wonderland holiday to Canada

I just found this bit a bit odd...

So, why is it that his plan to kill Bieber warranted two life sentences, yet successful murderers just get a few years or so? Maybe a couple decades?
