I hated how Mass Effect 2 went out of its way (in terms of ME lore anyway) to give all weapons finite ammo. I can understand things like rocket launchers and the fat-man having finite ammo, hell I expect it to but it's explained in the first games and the books why ammo restrictions aren't an issue in the Mass Effect universe. The guns already had an over-heat/cool down feature in the first game but that wasn't good enough for ME2. On harder difficulties, it was really easy to run out of ammo without realizing it before it was too late.
I also liked the MAKO from ME1 but it did make some sections really easy like, the Rachni bit on...planet #20539 (can't remember its name).
Resource Mining was boring as hell. If would have been somewhat more bearable if EDI had more snide remarks similar to the Uranus thing. Bioware knows how to make funny robots/AI characters.
Cerberus Network is a cock-smack greater than finite ammo

I really want Mass Effect 3 but I know there will likely be a day-one, membership based DLC thing that I would need to get if I want all of the game's on-disc content. I want nothing to do with the multiplayer either. Not that I'm against a multiplayer ME game but I would rather they have waited until Mass Effect Chronicles or whatever the next ME project will be. On the other hand, ME3 will be a proper 3 instead of an MMO so there's a point in its favor. I'll wait until they announce the day-one DLC before I decide on a new or used purchase.
