Well, a year ago in my English class we had to write a persuasive paper. My topic was the California video game law that was shot down a while ago. I wrote about how we already have a ratings system and that it's the parent's responsibility to keep violent games away from their kids. I got a B on it.

I wrote a paper on perception and (some) quantum mechanics about the implications of the Weeping Angels from Doctor Who. I can't for the life of me remember what that class was.

Second year of college. Got an A in every class that wasn't biology without a single day of studying.

Biology I got a C. But my grade was the third highest in the class. Still no studying. Woo!

Got to do an english paper about HD-DVD versus Blu-Ray way back when. Got a B or A on it, can't remember specifically.

Made some good arguments for both sides, HD DVD REALLY had that whole 'region free' thing going for it, but aside from that, BR won out in disc capacity, picture quality and a bunch of other shit. Had a lot of fun doing the research.

...For a geology class I'm taking, we're gonna do a presentation on the volcano known as Katmai. I'm going to try and get approval from my teacher (And hopefully Matt and Pat) to use the Two Best Friends Play: Shadows of Katmai as a blurb during the presentation, commenting on how a volcano is the least of our worries and that a bear who can swing trees and destroy buildings is something we 'all' should be more concerned about.

Anything for a laugh IMHO, even if it's generated from someone else.

I need a better computer though to put together a more... How should I say, 'flashy' presentation. School/Work can be fun if you make it fun, hence my desire to add my own touches to school projects and such.

Last year in my English class I did an analysis of Still Alive. I had to find meaning, and the message that the artist was trying to convey. Yes meaning in a song about a homicidal robot, that just wants to test, from the ending credits of a video game. I got an A.

I didn't do this myself, but a friend of mine did a whole speech on pokemon and how it should be a part of the school curriculum because it teaches us all the skills we need for later in life like perseverance. He opened his speech by reciting the old pokemon theme song in a dramatic tone making it sound like he was making some kind of inspirational speech. The teachers nearly fell off his chair from laughing so hard. Also he got an A

I know one girl in my Media and Culture class is writing her final essay as a critical study of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. She's doing a critical study of how a periphery demographic managed to form around the show on 4chan. Ugh...

Sociology. A report on social deviations. Sexual fetishism.
I think that's pretty much the only way one can see tits in an MSU (Moscow State Uni) class.

I had to do a scrapbook on stereotypes from the 1950s to now. I had three pages filled with High Expectation Asian Father Memes. I got full marks.

I once wrote a paper for an English class on the literary themes in Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memories. I also did a presentation that included the infamous the internet is for porn song in video format in high school about how the internet is misused.

Got to write a paper on the punk movement and economic change or something like that. It involved watching some Sex Pistols documentaries and listening to The Exploited for two weeks. Helluva lot of fun! And I got an A which was a bonus.

Also wrote a journal explaining why I'll never graduate because the university I attend owns my soul. The professor thought it was funny.

When I got 77/80 for my ICT exam after getting constant C grades in mock exams, my ICT teacher actually asked me seriously if I had cheated. I think he then lost all hope when I told him that half of my answers were about pokémon and internet memes.

That was the best ICT exam I've ever done... xD

I remember writing something about how vampires would have to have an extreme amount of phospherous in their skin to burn in direct sunlight and lycanthropy must be a bacterial disease because silver is a well known for its antibacterial properties.

In an Religious Education exam I managed to end up writing a 2 page rant about the existence of aliens... I passed...

Also for an English exam I had to write about a city... I then just wrote down the lyrics to Guns'n'Roses song Paradise City... I managed to get extra points for creativity... Whilst also passing.

I seriously don't get how people can fail exams nowadays if I can pass doing stuff like that...

English exams were always about displaying writing ability, the actual content of the essay isn't usually relevant unless explicitly specified. Atleast that's how it was when I was in school. I knew a pothead who wrote an essay about jeff the ninja for his AP english final in high school, and he got a fuckin commendation and 100/100 xD.

We had to write a short story, for english class, so i totally ripped Resident Evil 4's story and added awesome things to it. (A dog, evil clown house etc etc)

I got an A, and it was really short too, so not much work done at all.

That Mr. Kipling also goes under the alias of KP and is married to Aunt Bessy in a greedy attempt to corner the sweet and savoury food markets!

You... might have to be British to get this.

Was doing a test. In the creative writing part the stimulus was simply a smiley face emoticon. Luckily the week before I had researched the history of emoticons because I was bored.
