The major thing that kinda sucks about PC gaming is no final form factor. Meaning when unlike with a console, when you buy your shiny new PC, you have no real promise of a certain life expectancy of your hardware being considered "current". It's a boon for technical advancements, but it really hurts your wallet when you shell hundreds up to several grand on "the next best thing", only in amatter of months or a few years starts being considered obsolete. I also hate all the hardware issues that comes with the many different hardware setups floating around peoples homes . When I buy a new game I want to able to pop it in and just play. No hardware patches or videocard incompatibility. Console games pretty let me do that, bar maybe a quick update via Xbox Live which is a guaranteed update or fix mind you. Plus, there is simply something to be said for plopping on the couch and whipping out the trusty gamepad for some Halo action or whatever is your preference. Point is, PC gaming is not for everyone, just like the same can be said for consoles. PC gaming may be too expensive or glitchey for someones taste, but that doesn't mean that person is some how less "enlightened" or their taste in gaming less valid or "they just don't know better" compared to the PC diehards. Something to ponder.
