Depends which hometown u mean. The one i was born in, Melton mobray, is famous for pork pies (awesome ones if i may add) but otherwise is small and meaningless.
My home-hometown is a place called Kirkcudbright. Its awesome cause it's not very big so everyone knows everyone and get on well. The bad thing is our economy relies on tourism so in the summer, the place is packed :S

Atherton, Which is in Manchester, UK.

Crap Fact: The people in it.

Awesome fact: You can leave.
I've been to Manchester, and I had a great time.

Then again, I was living in Hereford at the time so anyplace is fun in comparison.

something bad: M. Night Shalaalalalamaalan likes to film his movies here. Well, most people consider his movies bad, but I liked them all. Before I found about that they were filmed here, too.
Wooo, hey, hometown!

I'm actually from Newtown Square, which is a suburb of Philly. Soooo...the great thing is all the yummy food, like soft pretzels, Tastykakes, and cheesesteaks.

The bad thing is that people from my home town are extremely unfriendly and tense. We just kind of radiate this negative energy without realizing it. I have a t-shirt that says "I'm not angry, I'm from Philly." Sums it up really well, actually.

Good thing: World record for number of faces painted in a minute or an hour was set here,

Bad thing: We have the most retarded road system I've seen. Seriously, I can see my house from one road five minutes before I get to the road that it's actually on.

Or judging by your Avatar, there's a Starbucks there.

Boston, Massachusetts.

Good thing: Hmm... I'll get back to you on that.

Bad Thing: We have the worst drivers in the country. And everything else basically.
i loved Boston when I went. What about the duck tours? they're whimsical I suppose. Or the historical significance? Just throwing ideas around here.

Of course we're agitated! We never get any recognition because New York is so close.

In the town I was born in (Suffern, NY), there was a recording studio nearby where Dream Theater recorded some of their earlier albums.

Also, one of the co-founders of Google graduated from the highschool of the town I was raised in (Mansfield, CT).

The bad thing is that the town is boring and there is nothing to do. Although recently, a few guys made a gaming center near my house which is fun.

Elche, or to give its appropiate, latin name, Ilice.
Something awesome: My town is LITERALLY a palm tree forest. No, honestly, they're fucking EVERYWHERE. There's not a spot in town from where you can't turn around and spot at least one. Also, we have a festivity that consists on firing fireworks for an hour straight before firing the most massive one (which explodes in the shape of a palm tree and lights up the entire city).

Something bad: All the people here SUCK. This place is full of bimbos, retards, or otherwise unlikeable people. Steer clear away from us.

I live in a small Sussex village:

The Good - We are lucky to have a train station, without it meeting up with my friends would be difficult.

The Bad - Vandalism and drugs are commonplace.

Ummmmm, well its in the DC area so I kind of live near a tourist attraction but its also full of wannabe "gangstas" there not as big of a problem now that I've left Middle School but I still see them around the High School from time to time, thankfully they're not the cool kids anymore

Oh I just thought of another cool thing about Sterling. It was supposedly the setting of the MW2 mission "Wolverines!" at least according to the CoD wiki.

I just like to call him M. Night Shamalama-ding-dong for some reason... :p But I wonder if he'll actually film the Last Airbender in your hometown.

I live in the area of Manly Warringah (At least that's what it says on my bin) in New South Wales Australia.

Good part-We've got great beaches nearby, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous and it's got great facilities (I.e shops, restaurants). And yes it was named Manly because the founders thought the indigenous Aborigines were very Manly.

Bad part-Lads (The Aussie equivalent of a chav or as I like to call it a pretender), douchebags, ultra patriots and surfies a-plenty.
