something bad: M. Night Shalaalalalamaalan likes to film his movies here. Well, most people consider his movies bad, but I liked them all. Before I found about that they were filmed here, too.
I just like to call him M. Night Shamalama-ding-dong for some reason... :p But I wonder if he'll actually film the Last Airbender in your hometown.
Actually, he is. According to Wikipedia [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M._Night_Shyamalan#The_Last_Airbender].

Evanston, WY.

The bad: Mormon missionaries who won't shut the fuck up (no offense to any Mormons on site, but seriously, when I say "not intersted," I mean it), meth-head rednecks, and the state looney bin,

The good: The weather is nice and cold most of the time and I don't live in town.

its awesome that i live on top of a 24/7 store so i can get any food, drinks, or ciggarettes i want at any time, im also pretty close to the subway which is nice

it sucks because i also live 200 yards from a firetruck garage, which means that they pass right outside my bedroom windows, sirens blasting, whenever there's a fire

A field in the English countryside.

Good: There is no town, and we own all the land.
Bad: My house is insanely hard to get to, and very, very far from all my friends.

Radom, Poland.

It's one of the oldest towns not bombed to the ground during the WWII, it was a major city in the Medieval times.

...Crappy? 8 years ago, there were 300k people here. Now it's about 200k. And I'm not sure I'll be studying here. Hopefully, not.

I'm from Bath, England.

Awesome Fact(s): We have a good rugby team, place looks really nice.

Not So Awesome Fact: The rugby team has been steadily declining, both football teams are terrible and everytime I say the name I say it with a posh accent which my friends make fun of.

Greenville, SC.

Good: The guy who invented the laser came from here. We also have a nice downtown courtesy of revival efforts and a surprisingly decent school system. Oh, and we're not far from the Blue Ridge mountains.

Bad: We have an...interesting highway sprawl problem, which has a charm if you've lived there a long time like me, but really is kinda problematic. Also, our downtown recently instituted a youth curfew, but supposedly they'll only arrest you if you're clearly a gang member.

Oh, and Charter has a bit of a cable monopoly, which many would consider an issue but I don't. Their ad campaign is awful, though.

Ipswich, Awesomeness: erm...it...err...Asda and Tesco are outside the city center, I miss the Fish & Chip shops.

Lame: It's now got a night club on every corner and getting over run with Chav's.

But I don't live there any more, I'm based in Silicon valley now, Fish & Chips are crap out here, unless I make them at home.

HA!

Well, Im from New York.

Good things: Its NYC!
Bad things: Its... NYC.

EDIT: Or do you mean the place where I was born and raised?

That would be Moscow, Russia. And its the same story as with NYC. The name speaks for itself, both good and bad.
This except replace Moscow with Leningrad (St. Petersburg)

I was born and raised in East Aurora NY, so I'll use that town. Good things, everyone knows each other and are for the most part friendly towards one another, bad things, it's freaking small!
