Something I was genuinely surprised at.

I was very surprised that I am actually looking forward to (extremely) the release of LA Noire. I thought the only games I would really want to play this year was Skyrim and ME3. My brother saw a preview trailer months ago and only showed me 2 weeks ago.

Thank you Ephraim J. Witchwood for fixing my dumbassness lol

Something else I am shocked at is that Rockstar hasn't made I have seriously wanted to play in over a decade.

Anyone else excited about LA Noire, I haven't seen anyone talking about on the these forums.

I'm not exactly excited, but I'm really interested about it though, if that makes any sense. It does kinda remind me of Mafia 2, but grittier. I'm just gonna see how this game turns out before I get it, so basically I'm on the fence.

I just wanna know if they are gonna do the Black Dahlia, now that would be cool.

Gritter perhaps, but even better is you are not the Mafioso gangster.

What I am happy about is solving crimes, I could care less about the shooter aspect of the game. For example, if those CSI games weren't so...well dumb, I'd love them.

I want the mystery and brain teasing that LA Noire seems to be offering.

Too true.

As long as they don't do any hand holding with the crime solving aspect then I'm all in.

I don't mean to rain on the parade, and I do think the game is a good concept, but is it going to have any replay value? I don't see much action, nor do I see how the mystery could be very exciting the second time around. And it's not like you can play as a different class or anything (I don't think.)

But you may not be able to solve all the crimes the first time around, as far as I could tell from listening to the game developers, you'll be able to go forward in the plot if you fail at solving a crime, but you wont' get the full story.

It definitely looks interesting. In terms of innovation, it could be compared to Heavy Rain. The cover-based shooter elements are obviously nothing new, but this whole concept of reading faces is a fascinating idea. I'm glad a studio of this calibre is doing something new.

It does look like an amazing game. However I think the decision not to release it on PC (at the beginning at least) is rather irritating. I really hope they choose to eventually bring this game out on PC.

I dunno. Rockstar games have never jumped out and grabbed me (GTA IV: I AM DISAPPOINT). I could give L.A. Noire a chance, but I think I'd get more happiness from Mass Effect 3, Gears of War 3, Brink, and Halo: Reach.

Then again, I'm a shooter junkie.
