I recently saw this awesome collection of drawings of medieval/fantasy versions of the Avengers. I always have Elder Scrolls on the brain so I guess I'm not surprised when I thought to myself... What if I drew the Avengers... as they would be in the Elder Scrolls universe?

So far, I already have a few ideas as to what certain characters would be when converted into Tamriel counterparts, and I'm definitely trying for race and class diversity while still holding true to the Marvel originals.

Wolverine will be a Khajiit. End of discussion.

Any tips for a Civ newb? :D
Make building The Great Library your objective in the beginning of the game. It gives you great science and great person boost. Then go for Iron Working. Also, keep a large military and you won't be bullied by other Civs, ever.

Spain bullied my allied city-state, Once. I turn that into a 200 year war, and became the hero that liberated all the city-states that she conquered. Remember, (assuming for have the expansion, which I greatly recommend) the AI isn't half bad in combat and will surround you if they get the chance. If your fighting a war that has you out-numbered, just keep your units close to you cities and fortify. Don't be aggressive or you'll kill your few units.

Also don't spam cities around, early game keep 3 to 4 other cities for a nice cushion for your capital city. Make sure you also space them well, each city has a max radius of 3 hex to gather resources so place them no closer the 4 tiles apart.

Finally, specialize your Civ to whatever victory you're going for. Science, Culture, Diplomatic or Domination. Have your goal set from the very beginning of the game. Befriending City-states can give you a really good boost for pretty much all of those goals so keep your spies and gold handy. Domination (I think) is that hardest victory to win so be warned.

I plan on getting started on the first Dresden Files book and plugging up my old PS2 to finish Final Fantasy 12.

I've heard good things about that series and I'm looking forward to getting my hands on a copy of the book. I enjoyed FF12 but it's just so long and I never finished it.
The series is excellent, but be warned that the first novel in it is Butcher's first published book and it shows a bit. I've known some people who gave up on the series because that first book didn't match up to the hype of the series overall. It's not bad by any means, but while the later books rank in the "holy crap that's awesome" territory, the first one is merely "pretty damn good." That said, you also can't skip it because of overarching plotlines.

If I finish recovering from the after effects of my illness in time, then university, and games that I haven't started and that will come out.

And maybe cosplaying with the otaku society from the university.

I finish my books no matter how awkwardly worded they are. I learned it the hard way when my mom donated some of her books and the one I was halfway through was in the box. I can't remember the title but I remember enjoying it. It had something to do with a haunted castle and a young woman forced to live there. I think it had a werewolf that tried to kill the protagonist.

Good luck with your rice cooker.

I'm going to buy a second hand Gamecube, a shitload of whisky and play through all the good stuff. It's not exactly new but I'm gonna enjoy it. Also going to start a new TV series, not sure what yet but probably The Newsroom. I also jumped on the Civ bandwagon not long ago after missing III and IV, good so far.

Make a Shepard with a custom face. I'm hoping that he won't look like an abomination from hell.
Yeah, I'm probably quite a boring person.

Shape up. So I look more appealing to "teh wimminz."

I plan to bulk up my spaghetti arms and tuck my stomach away. I have a whole summer to do this while I wait for rejections from jobs I've applied to.

I'm trying to do trading on Steam.

Its... not going to well...

(I guess my items aren't worth any games, even in combination... :( )

EDIT: aaaaand. I give up! XD
Best just stick to what I do best, and buy random steam games and play them! XD

Gonna go visit a friend in Alberta :D

First time I'll be visiting another province.

When I get back I'll probably start drawing again, or maybe painting. I'm getting rather rusty.

At the moment I'm starting a new book. 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'. Hopefully it's good :D

Visit my gran without making the usually mistake of asking how she is as soon as I walk through the door.

Seriously, that woman has more ailments than a every single episode of Casualty combined.

And enough pills to stock a small pharmacy.

The sad part is there is absolutely nothing wrong with her. She has one of those medical books describing every illness under the sun and as soon as she reads an interesting one she has it.

Play good pc games. My current laptop won't do anything more complex than Medieval 2: Total war and the HL series.

However, I have been stocking up on shiny new games in the Steam sale because my new desktop arrives on Monday!
