Oh yeah. I'd say just get some different games, cause I know for me, it's playing the same games over and over that did it.

Yeah, it has
But then I got sucked back into the deep, dark, black void that is the internet
And the black hole that is xbox live

Yes this has happened to me before... but then I get sucked right back into my life before, playing video games, watching movies and the like.
Though the time away from it all is good, really makes me appreciate that sort of stuff more.

I guess it depends. You don't always need new games, sometimes multiplayer games can cure this lack of gaming interest. Or find yourself a really good single player game that you can immerse yourself in, one where you can rack up a lot of hours like Oblivion or DA:O.

It didn't happen to me with all games, but only RPGs. At one point, i thought id never get tired of it: i loved the story, the exploration, and the grind, all of it. Now just the PROSPECT of having to get into a new RPG game with its predictable shounen plotlines makes me tired.

It's happened to everyone I think... in fact, there have been several threads on this forum saying the exact same thing. It's happened to me a couple of times where I will just look at my 360 games and just stare trying to figure out which one I wanted to play and eventually gave up and just browsed the Escapist. This mostly happens when I haven't got anything new for a while and when I buy a new game I just play through that one to start up the momentum again. Right now I'm at the very opposite end of the spectrum and just want to play games constantly and that's pretty much what I have been doing recently.
