Something that worries me about Bioshock 2...

Some of the most memorable moments in Bioshock for me at least were the non-storyline setpiece events like early in the game when you see the shadow of a baby carriage, and if you sneak up to it, you hear an insane lady lament the loss of her child. Events like that were plenty to be found if you chose stealth over Rambo style run and gun.

The thing that worries me about Bioshock 2 is if and how the developers are going to have these moments in the game that help give character and atmosphere to Rapture if you're a Big Daddy clunking about advertising that you're coming.

The Stealth element has gone on vacation in BioShock 2, but who says that every game in Rapture must be a mix between stealth and !Run n' Gun"? maybe the next chapter will provide more focus on stealth.. or the element is present in-game, referring to the little sisters... maybe or maybe not :)

I'd rather them focus more on RPG elements, like the older ones, because in Bioshock, you never played a "role"; just a guy that could choose a few different upgrades and go on killing sprees while everyone else magically couldn't.

Don't worry, they'll keep some scary or stealthy bits in, and stuff like that. They'll find a way.

I'm starting to care a lot less for Bioshock 2 each day that passes...

I've come to the conclusion that a sequel to one of the best games ever is a really stupid thing!

Yeah, really. This was like the "Citizen Kane" of video games.
Can you imagine if Orson Welles had come out a few years later with "Citizen Kane 2: The Wrath of Kane" - except it wouldn't be about Citizen Kane anymore, it'd be about the head janitor at Xanadu [Kane's estate] well after Kane died and his whole rosebud story arc had been explained and forgotten. This is what I expect Bioshock 2 to be. Shit.

You serious? You play as a Big Daddy in BioShock 2? I mean I remember that the main character sorta gets turned into one at the end, but I have been assuming that we get to play as someone else or that his condition doesn't actually matter, hence how he was able to survive in normal society after the game, if you chose the good ending.

True, but I just hope they spend as much time as they did with the first one on creating the dystopian atmosphere.

I think they got the atmosphere even better in this sequel. Just the early gameplay vids show an even more immersive world, based around you and the inhabitants of Rapture.. or atleast whats left of them :)

yeah.. i dont think they will come close to topping the original bioshock.. it was just... so atmospheric.. so balanced... being a big daddy kind of takes the fear out of big daddy's... lol if u know what i mean... in bioshock 1 the splicers never dared touch the big daddys except for the occasional adam run... and in bioshock 2... if that element stays then u wont have to fight much.. and if it doesnt... then it takes the fear and power of being a big daddy away...

I have a bad feeling about Modern Warfare 2 as well. Mostly because it's Activision that makes it...

Well most likley there will be splicers right? And they will obviously attack you on sight or it will basically be a walk from point A to point B game.

All I'm saying is that even though your playing a big daddy the splicers will still attack you. Meaning you not as intimidating as the newer ones. Meaning you are most likely smaller and have less armor.

One thing I know is that the people who made bioshock 2 are Completely devoted. They really wan't you to almost smell the game therefore for the first time ever I have high expectations for a game.

The way i see it is, THE BIG DADDY, one of the most terrifying enemies in a game EVER and now, you get to play as one! and with two player introduced in the begginig you get to play as a splicer as well!! Also Jhonen Vasquez, creator of Invader Zim and Jonny the Homicidal Maniac did some of the concept art for it and he is possibly one of the best cartoon artist ever to grace T.V and Comic books alike.

So what I think is with Bioschock 2 its just win, after win, after win!

BRING ON BIOSCHOCK MOVIE 2010 YEAH!!!!!

There was a gun in the pram, you know. That adds a whole new level of depravity. She's replaced her baby with a gun.

It's moments like that which make Bioshock truly great.
