i set myself a target of completing 3 ps1 games in a weeks a few months ago when i was bored. i did them in 2 days. kept me occupied, but made me realise that old games are not too challenging any more.

Anime...hmmm...the only anime I recall watching is Spirited Away (which was superb), and I would use the term 'anime' very loosely for that one.

So since it doesn't fit into your prejudices of what anime is, you "would use the term 'anime' very loosely"? No offense, but that's like saying that since my Swedish sister isn't blond, you would would use the term 'Swedish' very loosely about her. "Anime" just means "animated TV show or movie from Japan". (Though I'm told it's what Japanese people call all animation.)
Sorry if I sound angry, I sincerely don't mean to, but I can't think of a way to phrase this that doesn't sound angry.

I just had no idea what anime is. Sorry, you seem passionate about the subject, want to recommend some anime? I have since watched a few anime films, and enjoyed them tremendously.
