I support none of the two. They both fucked up in some way or another.

I agree with the OP on the basis that I want EC to stay HERE. I love coming to the Escapist in order to watch the Jimquisition, ZP, or Extra Credits. It makes me happy.

I've spent a few days trying to read everything I can about the conflict between Extra Credits and the Escapist, trying to figure out what exactly happened and as a result I've decided that I agree with EC.

I know I'm not alone on this but I am curious just how many others also support EC so here's what I suggest: Go into your profile and make your four visible badges Extra Credit badges. Keep them that way until the end of the month.

I don't know what kind of impact it will make, but I want it clear that I support all the work, thinking and passion EC has brought to the gaming community.

I honestly don't get these types of posts, you have a selection of 20 odd threads all on the gaming front page, so you look down it and read "Extra Credits" and think "I don't like that show, I will go in and voice my dislike of it!".

You added nothing to the thread, nobody needed your opinion on whether you like EC or not. Seems to me to be nothing more than post count bumpers. Just seems weird to me to go totally off topic and just hate on the show.

Dude, we all support the work of the Extra Credits team, if we didn't we wouldn't care about what's going on in the first place. But picking sides and shit isn't gonna help the situation.

On top of which, I'm reticent to take sides in a "he said, she said" argument. Though I will follow EC on any site where they choose to end up, so I obviously DO support them.

I'm just not sure I am now, nor will I ever be, on their "side."

Trust me even the CEO of the Escapist, Alexander, has seen how much the EC side is pissed off. This will not help the situation. The Escapist isn't some evil money pit. We all need to calm down and let them sort it out. This is a fragile situation that can get worse if the community starts siding.

They lost me right about the time they implied that buying new games was like a "Tax" in that project $10 episode. I had to rewind to make sure I heard them correctly. I did a Tidus laugh. Really guys? Really? Really.

Don't get me wrong, I don't wish them ill. They just come off as pretentious. Very, very pretentious.

Yeah I had to listen to that part a few times to make sure I heard right, I wasn't impressed with that statement.

They do bring up some very good points, but their pretentiousness does rub me the wrong way.

Under your profile settings there is a 'badge' tab. That's where you can change which badges you display.
