Also on Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. That game is only really playable in multiplayer, cause otherwise just trying to get a base or whatever is an epic fail ESPECIALLY when there's a "rocket nest" (or so me and my brother call them) where there's a building juuuuuuust out of sight, but see you well enough to blast you. And the fact that to send a signal for any missile attack you have to throw the smoke-grenade and RUN out of there before you get caught. My bro just had me drop the grenades cause I got the faster character. Not only that, in the tutorial part, you can signal from a distance, but in the rest of the game it's a smoke grenade. WTH?
well, when buying airstrikes, you can check in the menu if it is a smoke, radio beacon, sattelite, or lazer-designated use. make sure and check what you buy if you hate smokes, okay?

For me it was while playing through Medal of Honor: Allied Assualt, i had just finished taking out some big gun and jumped over a small wall the game auto saved and then a machine gun took me out, so each time it loaded i died instantly and couldn't do anything about it.

My Brute Force disk getting scratched was annoying. Second place goes to Fallout, after fighting all the Deathclaw in the Boneyard I saved in the middle of the bridge over the acid moat. This confused the game mucho; next time I load I am on the island but the guard has moved to block the bridge and my only way of escape.

any fighting game when you're doing arcade mode and you come up against that 1 unstoppable character....

they tend to be second last....

the apprentice on soul calibur 4 i resorted to screaming at my TV and throwing my controller out of my window...

Last time I got enraged was at Smackdown vs Raw 08, I was agasint William Regal and he reversed every other move without fail. That meant I could reverse his move, put him on the mat, pick him up to follow it up then I'd be the one on the mat. This went on for about 30 minutes, I became so angry that my emotions collapsed in on themselves and the only way I could express how I felt was by sexy-dancing. Much to the horror of my friend.

Having to fight Sauron on LOTR:TTA.

Nothing particularly hard about it, but, as a LOTR geek it bugged the hell out of me. Why would you be fighting Sauron? Why? And it's actually Barad-Dur! It's not right!

This was in bck in the mid-nineties when gaming wasn't as "cool" as it was today, and we were just at that age where cool became the single most important thing in our lives.

Anyway me and a good mate were going through super mario 64. It was his first nintendo experience and he was really into it. The next week he's talking to his mates and I turn up and say "Hey Al, I finally finished mario 64!" and he looked at me sideways and said, "what that computer game? Those things are for babies." and I was alienated from the every other student for the next 8 f***ing years.

Didn't affect me that much... *twitch*.

The part Force Unleashed where you're asked to take down the Star Destroyer and you're bombarded by constant waves of about 6 TIE fighters and you have to take them down one by one with a piece of slowly generating floating wreckage, which SHOULD be easy but the force seems to have a retarded auto-aim with it and you constantly waste your shots on some near-by towers, in this time the freaking destroyer has corrected itself and it takes forever to start pulling it down again...

there are more moments i've hated but that's certainly the most recent.
If you stand in the right spot you can pull them out of the air and throw them at each other.

Learning all the combos and buttons for Soul Calibre and spending time getting to grips with each character only for my partner to plug in, choose a random character and proceed to mash at the buttons like an epileptic baboon and still bastard win.

I don't know if I'm more pissed at her or myself.
No offense but i was amazing atb the 2nd game in the series( no bragging here just framing my argument) and after learning and practicing all the moves and having a friend try to button mash to victory i utterly CRUSHED him so i don't know how u did it.

As new poster here's my list of my pet-peeves:

-PPL bad mouthing the PSN
-The PSN being a piece of junk somedays, beutiful on other days.
-Rumors for paying fo PSN for things I do on my PC that I don't really need to do on my PS3 (especially if I have to pay extra to do it).
-Rumors paying for PSN may not fix its real issue and make it as sound as Live.

-Hard Survival and Time Challenge in SFIV...just can't get done or be motivated to finish.
-Can't wait for SSFIV (lack of motivation for finishing SFIV)
-Really we're doing this agian for SF...god I bet you: Hyper Super Street Fighter IV the World Warriors in Hi-Def 3-D Natal/Wand Special Collectors Edition in the Gold Box will come sometime in 2011-12. Why not just SFV and start a new trend.

-KOF 12: most overpriced, underwelming game of the year that could have been much better. The fan boy in me cries.
-3-D KOF coming....plz no. A $25 well honed DLC 2-d fighter with a story and a boss battle or two (and ppl playing it) would be much better than $70-80 for something that well loose in the end.

-Marvel Alliance 2: craptasticness, lets just say it is buried in a self dug grave.

-LOTR Conquest of the Ring: Battlefield this is not...and is not a sub for Star Wars Battlefield 1 or 2.
-NO Star Wars Ballefield for PS3 or new one for Xbox360 damn.

-Average new game in 2007 here in my homecity: $35 to 50.
-2008: $45 to 60.
-Current: $65 to 80
-Rumors of games $100 to 120 in the next two to three years.
-Rumors of games being 5 to 10 hours max (not inlcuding on-line).
-Cheaper to call the sex hotline for fun in the future, and still "on-line".

-Gameproducers assume less is more, but we'll still pay as if we are getting more.
-We chose to pay for pretty, while often getting less.
-Cheap low graphic, high fun, addicitive and longer play DLC making a large dent in the market, and yet some game producers not getting the message.
-Pre-order bonuses that ruin game balance.

-acheivement or trophy....wait they spent time programming this but could of given me a better game instead.

-Facebook generation, Facers, Tweeters?? what do we (old schooler like me) call you

-Not understanding why so many ppl love waggling their WII.

Playing past the tutorial level of No More Heroes and realizing that the sandbox is barran, the minigames are tedious, and the boss battles would seem just as bad if everything else wasn't so much worse.
It got me so angry I started renting again; it was actually like the gamefly commercial they show now.
