lol "Team Spirit" would completely change the meaning of the songsinsfire said:I hate to be the guy to do this but since we are talking about song titles I have to.
its "Smells like TEEN spirit" by Nirvana
its "What a Wonderful World" by Loius Armstrong
I am correcting these opnly because I agree with them and want them listed so people can find them, not trying to be an ass.
for my own picks I feel like there has to be something from the Rolling Stones but I can't put my finger on what. Probably "Sympathy for the Devil"
Something from Janis Joplin too, maybe "Mercedes Benz", but only if the sarcasm is understood and you don't actually go on believing that she is doing a comercial for them
You say that but the only one i've heard of is wonderwall, although there's a fair chance that I may have heard the other songs and not realised that they were said songsBored otter said:Right now i'm making a music quiz (for the age 12 to 17) and i'm searching for music.
This made me wonder, are there songs everyone should know. There were some that crossed my mind.
Smells like team spirit - Nirvana
Ironic - Alanis Morriset
time after time - Cindy Lauper
Wonderwall - Oasis
Fast car - Tracy Chapman
Seven nation army - The white stripes
Some from every genre, what are your thoughts on this?

.........more than ever hour after our work is never over
I loved TEEN Spirit when I was 14. Now it's one of my least favorite Nirvana songs. For nostalgia's sake, I find Ironic oddly comforting in spite of not one thing in that song being actually Ironic. I never cared for Cindy Lauper but Willie Nelson did a badass cover of True Colors. I see no System of a Down, Pixies, Radiohead, or any of the far superior White Stripes songsBored otter said:Right now i'm making a music quiz (for the age 12 to 17) and i'm searching for music.

Ugh, heretic. Same reason Johnny Cash does Hurt better than Trent Reznor: They are the proper age to sing of hurt and loss.Sober Thal said:I see your Leonard Cohen and raise you one Jeff Buckley.Realitycrash said:
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
OT: Beethoven's 9th Symphony.
Why the hate? It's a good song.DJDarque said:As much as I hate it,
Enter Sandman by Metallica
It's one of the the cases where I've just heard it way too much. Earlier Metallica is better anyway.FirstToStrike said:Why the hate? It's a good song.DJDarque said:As much as I hate it,

Well it's not about how good the songs are but more about how well known they are.funguy2121 said:I loved TEEN Spirit when I was 14. Now it's one of my least favorite Nirvana songs.
