So Escapists...assume that you suddenly find yourself in a giant mosh pit. We're talking people as far as the eye can see, spanning out in all directions. Then, a massive array of lights appears in the distance, and a band comes out. They all appear on a colossal screen (let's assume you can see anything in this crowd of millions of people). It becomes apparent that this crowd is intent on pitting as hard as they can possibly manage as soon as this band starts playing, and you nor anyone around you is probably gonna make it out of this pit with anything but massive injuries, if you even survive. So you just decide to go with it. Let's also assume that once you die, you appear back exactly where you are now (this is all just a giant fantasy anyway, so why not).

So, what band is playing, and what song are they performing? What song would you wanna mosh that hard to?

EDIT: Thread spelling fail. My bad.

Wait, so this is a mosh pit in...Valhalla?

I've always been confused with this, metalhead idea that Dieing would be so cool if you just came back afterwords. maybe i'm just to akin to pleasantries I don't understand.

That being said I don't know the song I would enjoy being slaughtered too.

I'd say anyhting by Deathklok fits that bill rather nicely.
I actually wasn't thinking about that when I made this thread, but Dethklok's concerts should provide a nice mental image of anyone struggling to picture what this thing would look like.

People who are in mosh pits often do things with blatant disregard for their own and others safety. The lack of consequences for death would remove any and all restraint these people would have on what they were doing, seeing as how normally getting crushed to death in a mosh pit isn't really anyone's idea of a good time, as it results in, well, death.

It still isn't probably anyone's idea of a good time to get crushed by anything, though.

How about this one?
I would rather not bring her into this.

If I had to though.

Knights of Cydonia.

I've actually moshed to this in a crowd of 50,000 people, at Australia's biggest music festival last year. It was 12 straight hours of non-stop rocking out around the Flemington Racecourse (Melbourne Cup), culminating in "No-ones going to take me alive".

And the second time I saw Muse, I was in the second row. Yeah.
