I usually have a little different definition of "awesome" as I don't usually listen to songs that are "awesome" but "beautiful" and/or "moving" to me. But I'm sure I can post a couple.
I might be back later if I think of any more that strike out to me I'm back
Also yeahhhh I usually like to talk about songs I think are awesome, too. Unless I'm drawing, then everyone shut up so I can listen to music.
Just sheer beauty, I mean, I'm a little biased as I love Hybrid (did three albums back in my DJ'ing days consisting of only their remixes, sans the above track at the end of the first, then mixed the three albums together to make one long ass mix)
I suppose this is the part where I gush over my songs, but I'll just let them speak for themselves. And in any case, everyone's taste in music is so wildly different that to assume you know what "good music" sounds like is utterly laughable. For these songs, I can only guarantee that I love these songs incredibly so.
Crass as it may sound, I like to say to friends that this song is gonna play at my funeral, and there won't be a dry eye in the house. Makes me weep almost every time I hear it, and I love it.

*high fives* Holy shit, someone else that likes Hybrid!
Continuing their sonic awesomeness:
Reminds me a bit of Blade Runner Blues at the start.
This one reminds me of that movie with Samuel L. Jackson and Gena Davis. It's like her personal anthem.
This is my personal favorite. Damn I love this song. It's just so amazing.
Let's see, other stuff not Hybrid that rocks my socks. *ponders*
This song always makes me think of a pack of werewolves, in wolf form, hunting some threat to their territory. It's very primal and animalistic in it's mood and theme to me. Especially when the drums start getting more intense.
Eh, honestly there's just too many songs that hit my speechless awesomeness button to accurately list, especially since I'm at work, and not near my music list. So I'll end it there for now.
Oh boy I get an excuse to post the BlazBlue Continuum Shift Extend soundtrack again but to save time i'm going to post only two three.
The reason I love BB CSEX's soundtrack so much is that every character has its own music track behind it. You could say that that particular track encapsulates everything that character is in a 5 minute instrumental, it's some seriously impressive stuff.
Honestly, Condemnation Wings seriously made me understand Tsubaki as a character more, them mournful violins yo'
I still think she's the worst character in the game though, be as self-righteous and holier than thou as you want luv but damn can you at least back it up with real damage? Your power level was so shit your weapon left you and became its own character in the sequel!
This theme fits Hazama so damn well, I could talk about it forever. The small snippets of almost random piano works wonders for the song, you know when you walk into an empty room with a piano in it and you might play a few notes that come to mind? If Hazama did that those would be the notes he plays, they fit amazingly.
No BB list is complete without Alexandrite, it's 5 minutes of pure hype in audio format. Basically a track designed to make you understand that Makoto ain't no pussy character who dicks around with "range" or "zoning" or any'a that fancy bullshit. Nah you just gotta go in and beat them to the brink of death with your fists.
The one below I was quite literally entranced by last Saturday, the Spanish post-rock band Toundra. Completely spaced out. Fatigue must've helped, but...fuck man just...fuck:
The way they build up their sound and how they vary within songs. The song I made the vid start with, Viesca, sounds quite different than their opening track yet is unmistakably theirs. I mean, that bit starting from 32:06, fuck.
I also really, really need to link something of Sigur Ros. Specifically these:
Now, let me be clear. The first song of these two is not 'awesome' as such. If anything, it's heartwrenching. It's the pure, Platonic idea of sorrow in musical form. The last two minutes are an expression of all the suffering locked inside your heart bursting out in a scream of pain.
But then... Then Hoppipolla starts playing. And my God...
After being drained from all that misery, when you're at your most worn down and vulnerable Hoppipolla embraces you in the purest, most exuberant expression of joy and a sheer love of life I have ever heard in my entire life. After 2:22, the light, the beauty of life bursts forth, filling you with a power and happiness that is unlike anything I have ever felt before. I've yet to hear a more powerful sound than Glosoli and Hoppipolla playing back to back.
And that, my friends, is awesome.
Now here's something a little more straightforward:
The most perfect fuckin' expression of jazz ever devised. Damn Miles, damn. It too leaves me completely enraptured.
And here's my favourite electronic music producer, OVERWERK:

The variation and complexity that guy puts in his work (especially the opening track) while retaining that overarching feel of pure badassness never stops leaving me speechless and in a need to dance.
I'll end it with this:
Taiko (the genre) in general, and Kodo (the group) specifically really manages to capture a very primordial feeling of strength, energy and passion. Apparently when you see them live you can feel the drums reverberate through your own body. That's a power that definitely leaves me speechless with awesomeness.
I can go on forever with this. I'd write down some honourable mentions (Rush, Wishbone Ash, Shira Kammen, Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Grateful Dead, Earthless, Causa Sui, etc etc) but they're not any less than the ones I listed above.
Damn awesome fuckin' choice mate. Even though people associate Top Gun sooner with Danger Zone (which is also incredibly air-punching-ly awesome) than the actual theme, the theme is even more awesome. Which is saying something because Danger Zone rocks. But if America were wise it'd make the Top Gun theme its national anthem.
All that's missing from the 80's-ness of the guitarist is a real power stance, but I'll forgive him for that.
