I'm pretty sure that most of you have a couple songs that remind you of good times or bad times or whatever times they might be and I'm curious as to what they are and what memories they bring. I'm just lookin' to see what songs bring what memories to people. I'm a curious person and hey, it seems like fun to me. So all I'm asking is for what song (Artist and Song name preferable) what memory(or memories) it brings and if you can why(as in where you doing something at the time?) So I guess I'll start.

The Fray - How to Save a Life
It brings back the memory of 8th grade. It's when I got to know one of my favorite and all time friends and it also reminds me of him. A couple other songs that reminds me of him is Glamorous by Fergie and Lips of an Angel by Hinder.

ICP(Insane Clown Posse) - I Want My Shit
Memory to this song is my Sophomore year of High School. It specifically reminds me of 2 best friends for life that I will NEVER forget. They mean a lot to me and it's sad at how things ended. I never get to see them anymore but I still get to talk to them from time to time ^^

There's more but I'll wait a bit before posting all of them ^^

I can't recall any specific memories, but there are some songs that certainly make me reminiscent.

Sister Machine Gun - Carbon Copy
The Pixies - Where is My Mind?
Oleander - Are You There?
M. Craft - The Soldier
Coldplay - The Scientist

Believe by Yellowcard
It doesn't bring back specific memories so much as reminds me of what I've overcome thus far in my life and that I must continue forward.

Misery Business by Paramore
It brings back memories of when my girlfriend broke up with me. I ended up unintentionally alienating myself from my friends because of her.

I can't hear anything from Psalm 69 by Ministry without getting Mechwarrior flashbacks. Jesus built my Atlas.
[/spoiler]

I have similar associations between KMFDM's Son of a Gun and Carmageddon 2. Good times.

This is going to sound horribly cliched, but I swear to you this is truth.

If there is one song that actually literally has one emotional connection to me, one that I can't stand because it literally makes me choke up, etc. is James Taylor's "Fire and Rain." I had just broken up with my girlfriend of five years (you read that right) and I had to get out of the apartment we were living in. And of course, just to complete the scene, is was raining that day. So I get in my car and I go driving, nowhere in particular, and the song was playing on the radio, and now its seared into my brain.

Livin' On A Prayer---Four guys trying to sing the high "Whoooaaa!" part in a car, while the lone female is laughing almost to tears.

Bohemian Rhapsody and Don't Stop Me Now (Queen)---Three guys in a car headbanging and singing while the lone female (the previous one's sister) also laughs almost to tears.

The only songs that I can think of that bring back memories are any songs off of Dream Theater's Train of Thought album. It was the album that got me into them and I used to sit in my room and listen to it every day when I got home from school.

Cats in the Cradle - ?
- Reminds me of my terrible relationship with my father. I cannot listen to that song.

Youth of the Nation - P.O.D.
- Reminds me of the hardships of High-school. I also cannot listen to it.

Within a Mile of Home - Flogging Molly
- Reminds me of the good times in high-school.

Devil's Dance Floor - Flogging Molly
- Reminds me of this awesome party that my friends threw. Imagine a bunch of drunk teenagers singing this song. Feckin' awesome!

On Holiday - Billy Talent
- Reminds me of my Prom. I stole the dance floor during this song and kept it for about 15 minutes before I relinquished it.

U2 - Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out Of
- Reminds me of when I first got my Gameboy Colour for Christmas, along with Pokemon Yellow, and I played it all the time, but I got really stuck in Vermillion City and couldn't work out how to get to the Gym (didn't know to get Cut from the captain of the SS. Anne), so I hid the Gameboy so I wouldn't play it any more.

Pretty much any AFI song
- I used to listen to them all the time a few years ago when I played Kingdom of Loathing almost non-stop, so whenever I hear them I think of KoL.

Aerosmith - Don't Wan't to Miss a Thing
- Reminds me of my school trip to Barcelona with my Spanish class in year 11. That song became the theme tune of the trip for me and my room-mates, it was playing everywhere! On the first night, we played card games using sweets as chips, and played music from someone's iPod, and that song came on quite a few times. But then, when we were around the city, there were so many shops playing it as we walked past it started getting a bit spooky.

I have quite a few songs that bring back memories...
such as this little gem
Ah, the memories it brings... A time of transition... settling in to a new life... a new role.
Refreshes the memory of being granted my freedom. I feel free again... *ahem* anyway...

Painkiller - Judas Priest

Man, I have fond memories of this song. I often go out sprinting when the weather's good, and almost every time I do, I listen to Painkiller. Such a badass song.

Memories - Within Temptation. Makes me think of the good times I had with my first girlfriend many years ago.

There are plenty of other songs that "speak" to me and hit me emotionally that aren't tied to any specific events though.

Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody
It reminds me of my sisters and I when we were little and would sing along with it.

OkGo-Here It Goes Again
It reminds of my early 20's, driving around, clubbing, and getting shit-faced.

Aha-Take On Me
It reminds me of my husband whenever I hear it.
