I listened to Hurt today... I really did cry. The video was so, so sad - I finally get what it's about and it feels like a dagger wound in my soul.

Every time it gets to the first statement of "I'm gonna be like you Dad," I burst into tears. In fact, the few times I've acted on stage/in a film and need to cry, I just pull up that verse and exaggerate my response to it, instant weeping insures.

Into The West - Annie Lennox.
This was used in The Return of the King. Absolutely beautiful. Yeah, I cried.

Title is mega cheese, but oh my. That movie was another waterfall of tears. The song is icing on the cake.

Actually, it's a cover of Nine Inch Nails "hurt". It was on NIN's "The Downward Spiral, released in 1994. Johnny covered it in 2002 on "American IV: The Man Comes Around". I will say that both versions bring me to tears.
