A lot of threads on here are of songs that we like. I say that we do the inverse of that (although, that has probably been done too) and put up songs that you wish had never existed.

Rule:
We aren't criticizing bands. Just songs.

For me:

The lyrics are just awful.

The Rick Roll.

Maybe it's that I was just too retarded not to fall for it 50 times.

I freaking love that song. No matter how many times I fall for it.

My hated song would be "The Graduation Song (Friends Forever)" by Vitamin C. I've heard it way too many times, it's way too sad, and it's over-saturated in use. Every single event where you might not see the attendees again, and bam, there it is. I hate it.

Argh, yes. Didn't help that it got annoyingly popular at the same time I finished high school, which wasn't fun for me at all.

This fucking song:

Whenever somebody needs an "epic" song, they turn to this and it just... hits a nerve. I don't know why. I could be a music nerd and say it's because it overshadows a composition with the same title by Gyorgy Ligeti, but I barely listen to that anyway, so it's not a strong argument. Oh well.

Bad Touch by the Bloodhound Gang. I loath that song.
Also anything by Eminem. His voice just grinds my nerves to a fine powder.

And honestly, this song completely rips off the exact same chords as Johannes Pachelbel's Canon in D. It's a very popular - it was written in the 1680s and this songs doesn't stray away from at all.

Not even original.

If I wanted that, I'd have this:

Amazing. Okay, so not exactly alike, but there's been many different variations and the one above isn't unique. AT ALL. Sorry, just sharing some song hate.

Oh, and, I have to bring up this also:

Sadly the reason I play guitar is to learn this song backwards and forwards.

Probably 'Born this Way'. Yes, I get that the message is good and all, but it's a shit song. There are much better gay liberation songs out there so why does this one get all the fuckin' credit?

I whip my hair back and forth!
I whip my hair back and forth!
I whip my hair back and forth!
I whip my hair back and forth!
I whip my hair back and forth!
I whip my hair back and forth!

I really, really hate that song.

I hate this song! When I first heard it I thought it was ok, but then I started to hear every day of my life with a bunch of pricks who thought the was the reincarnation of christ, so i started to hate it. Now the problem is my friends and people I dont even know that well will purposefully play it and sing incredibly poorly to it just because they know I hate it

My Heart Will Go On, the Titanic theme. I absolutely despise that song. It was played way too much when that movie first came out and I heard it everywhere.
I would rather listen to all of the Backstreet Boys, N'sync and Gwen Stefanie songs back to back than listen to even three seconds of 'My Heart Will Go On'.

This song actually makes you dumber while you listen to it.

I have never heard a song that made me see an entire generation in such a poor light, it's like these girls are a combination of every shallow gen-X stereotype ever conceived.

Anything by Nickelback. They're all so stupid! They're all just about played-out subjects that were old back in the 70s! Yes, we get it, there is a stereotype about rockstars, people are dicks, and people freak out and do crazy stuff if they know they're gonna die. You're not special for noticing.

I actually have an opposite view on it. I think the tune is good, but that the message inspires people to be self-centered and do whatever they want because "that's who they are".

Behold, a song so bad I wouldn't be surprised if they weaponized it and used it as an alternative for a nuclear strike.
