is a fanmade project, right? It's just not the cool 3D one that we saw a while back. Sega had nothing to do with it.

You and me both. The level design was a little bit too busy on it, but aside from that, the demo was excellent. With a little bit of work to make it easier to see what you're doing at high speeds, that thing could easily be the best Sonic game in years. Right now, though, it's got the same problem as the one for the 360 that was just called "Sonic the Hedgehog"; namely, you go too fast to register everything on the screen. Fortunately, it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the 360 game.
