Sonic:Alive or dead?

I say alive, but everyone else says he's dead. Why does everyone hate sonic? He's still good, he just has some screw ups once in a while.*Coughsonic06cough* But I say that Sonic Unleashed is a good game. People bash it for the werehog levels and sonic going too fast.....Wait a second? People are complaing that SONIC is going too fast? What...the...hell. And the werehog levels people hate those the most, for being "gimmicky." Listen people, Sonic team are not a bunch of retards, their just trying to please a retarded fanbase.

I'm not a fanboy, just next time have some good evidence before saying a game is crap. So please dig up sonic before he dies prematurely.

Look, kid, I'm a Sonic fanboy. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is the first game I ever played in living memory at four or five years old. I used to watch the old anime that was on TV and would cheer Sonic on every time he fought Dr. Robotnick (because that is what his name actually IS). I am telling you right now, for my generation and all those older than me, Sonic is -dead-. Sonic Team said it themselves.

Sonic Team is not catering to a retarded fanbase. They are catering to the kids of this era. These kids are just much more different than us, and they have different dreams for the Blue Whirlwind than we did. Thats simply it.

Sonic dying prematurely? BAH! he needs a swan song, a game without the werehog crap, but with the gameplay in the rest of unleashed, which was actually quite excellent, but prematurly? Premature would've been the 3rd game!

sonic is not dead, but it has made flaws. For instance, sonic battle something or another where you run around and beat up your friends because they looked at you funny.
otherwise i still like sonic. What's so bad about sonic adventures where you run around a flooded city and kill a big monster. Or in sonic adventures 2 when you go into space and battle a giant monster? Boss fight in SPACE! Awesome!

your right sonic is not dead. He was dead after human were introduced in the game; he was dead after Dr. robotnick was renamed Dr. eggman; and he was dead when they felt the need to introduce dozens of horibly made characters whose sole purpose is to teach us the value of friendship. now sonic is undead. he keeps coming back no matter how many times he shoots himself in the head. and just like a zombie, its unlikely that it will ever learn what it is that made it human in the first place, and will continue in its misguided atempts at regaining a semblance of its greatness.

as for sonic team, they are the mad scientist behind this abomination, bringing it back to life and encouraging it to continue its mistakes, making sure any time their creation begins to revert back to its original state that they are able to break up the progress with cheap gimmicks.

In short, we all wish sonic would have died. That way we could remember him with dignity as he deserves. instead we sadly turn out heads in shame every time we see him shambling toward us.
