Sonic & The Black Knight?

Even nowadays, looking through 10+ year old games i have lol...
Every-now-and-again, it's fun to boot up the (really) old "Sonic and Knuckles Collection" CD

But yea... pretty much, most i'll do for Sonic games Nowadays is rent them, get bored, return them, and that's it...

This is retarded. After Shadow the hedgehog they make this shit? Shadow with a gun is better than Sonic with a sword and if you must make a sword fighting game *shock* start a new franchise. I assure you this game will suck if you spend most of the time with the sword and if you don't than the little time you do spend with it will suck.

However Sonic Unleashed may possibly be good since Sonic looks reasonably fast in the trailer. Hell, in his werehog mode he's faster than sonic gets in the 360 exclusive. If that sucks I'll name sonic dead.

Why can't Sega just realize that you don't need new characters, you don't need swords, you don't need guns, you don't need telekinesis, you just need speed, a course, some rings, a blue hedgehog, and a fat little evil guy with a mustache in a 20 meters high robot!

Hey, throw in Metal Sonic for one of the final boss fights. Nothing I enjoy more as a boss battle than someone who is on pretty much equal terms in abilities, size and powers as you (See: Virgil DMC3 and Dante in DMC4, as well as some of the bosses in the Megaman series. Capcom seem to be quite good for them).

Ok Sonic was great what... 10 years ago? So let me get this straight. Why give a creature that can kill anything by jumping on it, a sword? I mean sonic's weapon is his trademark speed. It seems like they're trying to suck out the last few drops of sonic's life by taking any low graphics rpg with sword fighting and speed running and painting the character blue...

Experiment or not, i think it's high time the Sega Team put Sonic to rest and got on with something else.

Fact of the matter is they don't NEED a Sword fighting game at the moment because they're re-imagining the Golden Axe games.
So why in the name of everything good and sacred would they wanna further soil the reputation of the Sonic games by essentially doing the same thing they did with Shadow but without guns.

I looked into Sonic Unleashed, and i have to admit even though i maintain a fairly constant amount of pesimism towards the sonic titles of late Unleashed looks to be the closest to anything we've been wanting.

Sure the idea of Sonic turning into a Were-wolf doesn't make any sense at the moment, but i can be easily overlooked.

But really, i don't hold any great expectations for The Black Knight.

Just sounds to me like an excuse to have a sonic game mixed in with meaningless Wii-mote flailing.

That's awesome, just wish they didn't have to duplicate characters (two of Light and...poossibly two of Kyon, lighting makes it hard to tell) Still, saved for future usage.

...All I can think about now is figuring out what anime that cute girl 2 below Zelgadis on the far left is from.

This game sound stupid, and whats worse is they're raping Authurian legend to make it. I'm such a new thats what bothers me- King Arthur as the villain? The Wizard MERLINA? The Sword CALIBUR? O I see whut u did thar.

Sure, that works, until the reality hits and you remember "oh, wait... It IS a Sonic game".

Don't get me wrong, i respect your opinion about discussing(not bashing) until we have more info and evidence on it, but really, the idea that a game can be good if you ignore the main aspects namely in this case, the characters, the story, the franchise, really everything that isn't the core mechanics and button configuration then what exactly have you got left to enjoy about it?

A sword? That's really all you have left after you've ignored that it's a sonic game.

I'm not denying that maybe we're all horribly wrong and maybe this game will be a success, maybe Sonic Team have got it right, maybe swords is all the Sonic games needed all this time, but unfortunately, no one at this moment thinks that, and because they can, they will openly express their views on it, which leads to many thinking we're bashing on it, my main intention was discussion.
