So...a new video on XBL has just informed me that Sonic Free Riders is going to be on Kinect...

Good...or Bad?

I think it's quite good, although I'm worried to see how we will Control a Hover...Board...Thing...

Here's a link i managed to find as well.

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/objects/077/077610.html

Your thoughts?

I seen this weeks ago (or was it last week lol) the guy plaing looks stupid while playing. Still my judgement on Kinect is the same, there are no GAMES.

They have the mini game thing going on but I've yet to see a game that will have a story, caracter development etc..

And thus the slow decline of a once outstanding franchise.

Sonic was on a slow slide down the hill ever since Sonic Adventure 2.

Oh and off topic: Sonic 4's control is F*****G HORRIBLE.

You use one toggle to move...and A to jump...how is that horrible :S

if anything it's the same as the Sega Megadrives controls...one button for moving...one button for jumping... :S

sonic 4 has great controls, they're like the old Gen game controls like Sonic 3 (arguably the BEST sonic game... best 2D one too)

I used to feel the exact same way as you my dear friend, However nearly a month ago now when I was visiting the xbox.com website I saw a very interesting segment on upcoming games for it and to my surprise It had a list of fairly convincing core games on there, I didn't bookmark the page however and have just spent 5 minutes trawling the website to find it but can't.

Anyway check out this for the time being
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kinect_games

The ones that looked interesting were steel Battalion for obvious reasons, Rise of Nightmares, Haunt and project Draco.

Why does Sonic need a hover board?

Sonic RUNS, that's what he does, that's his character, his gameplay, his purpose and his motivation.

Sonic doesn't need guns, he doesn't need a motorcycle, a race car, a hoverboard, or anything in between. Sonic runs!
The exact same question ran through my mind how hard is it to fuck up A BLUE HEDGEHOG THAT RUNS FAST theres your entrie fucking game right there, speed, obstacles, no warewolves or cars or fucking robots.

Ah, a Sonic related topic and just a few posts in it's already turning into a Sonic 4 argument. The internet will never change, will it?

Anyways, this is nothing new, Free Riders was announced ages ago. But I don't really care. Never been that intrigued by Riders, and I'm sure as hell not intrigued by Kinect. That, and I don't have or want an X-box 360 anyways.

It'll probably be exactly the same as Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity. Might have better graphics, and achievements are always a draw for people into that sort of thing, but outside of these improvements, I have no doubt that it will be every bit as horrible as the other Sonic Riders games.

This whole controller-free gaming era that Kinect is ushering in is, unsurprisingly, a lot more involved than simply pressing a few buttons.
Oh shove it.
Well, Sonic Riders was an awful game and I don't see how it will be any better with the Kinect.

Yet another reason to use that quote.

Because if it was one where he ran, all of us would complain how our slow, out of shape gamer's legs started hurting halfway through Zone 1. o.o

In response to OP: Don't care. Stopped caring after Sonic Heroes, the Sonic game that broke my heart forever...

Don't give me that self righteous act. Like you haven't complained about a game before. Get over yourself bud.

And if they did change the controls from the demo and release, I wouldn't have said anything.

Ever since I realized just what kind of dipshitery the average fandom was capable of I've tried to keep my complains to a minimum and as constructive as possible.
Also from what I can tell Sonic 4 is exactly the game Sonic fans have been whining for about who knows how long, controls included. Of course, I'm playing the Wii version, but I don't see what difference that makes.

And also, they probably didn't change the controls because they figured the fans would whine about it. Like the quote says, clinging complaining dipshits, who'll never ever be grateful for any concessions you make. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
