I'm pretty sure the folks who made the new Socom are pretty pissed off right now, they've made an exclusive ps3 multiplayer based game that noone can play, must have lost a bunch of sales.Fappy said:Does anyone know if any AAA releases have been delayed to coincide with PSN's return? I would imagine that a game heavily reliant on online play would prefer to wait for PSN to be available before it launched.
Actually the XBL community doesnt use the mic that much, it used to for 2/3 years after its release but now most players dont bother to use the mic or are playing in parties with private conversations.VonBrewskie said:*sigh* I hear yah buddy. I'm not even eyeing an Xbox. I have borrowed my cousin's on a few occasions to rock some of that sweet, sweet Gears of War, and I have to say, the Xbox Live community is shit, for the most part. Being a dickhead is like their main obsession, it seems. I prefer the PSN, where there are fewer people using mics in general, and those that do seem to understand,(in greater numbers), why people acting like dicks on the mic should just switch off. Like I said, I'm not even eyeing an Xbox. If the PSN pulls a Dreamcast on me, I'm going back to PCs.Corporal Yakob said:Nearly 3 weeks!?! I CAN'T TAKE MUCH MORE OF THIS!!!
Meh, Naughty Dog is fine, they make single player games at heart and have only recently tacked on multiplayer.Sabinfrost said:I'm getting frustrated and feeling sorry for the great devs at Sony like Naughty Dog who are going to feel this... They don't deserve this.
Uncharted 2 is quite popular online actually, but you're right, it will sell regardless of online capabilities. I was more referring to the lack in faith in Sony driving customers away, honestly, this debacle has the potential to destroy Sony in the west. Companies hardware divisions have died from less. I don't think it will, personally, but at the very least the bad taste will be in customers mouths for a while. The industry wont forget this in a hurry.Mister Benoit said:Meh, Naughty Dog is fine, they make single player games at heart and have only recently tacked on multiplayer.Sabinfrost said:I'm getting frustrated and feeling sorry for the great devs at Sony like Naughty Dog who are going to feel this... Look at Zipper Interactive, they just released the new Socom game which had hype for it's multiplayer which noone can now play, also they made MAG which had mediocre sales and is online only.
Publishers and Developers are going to think twice before releasing exclusive Sony online based games from now on regardless of how this turns out.
I would go so far as to say that they are the best at terrible PR.Hybridwolf said:Honestly? you go from not enough news to too much bad news. This whole situation could have been downplayed if handled properly, but lets face it, Sony aren't the best at hiring decent PR people.
I had a $15 Gift Card Purchased (printable) under my account from Amazon with someone else's card.rbn06 said:Is anyone else concerned about their credit card details being stolen?
Has anyone seen any false transactions or ones they haven't made?
That's the way I read it too. If Sony is uncertain on when the service will be (fully) up and running again, it could even be longer than May 31st. That, dear friends, is even more disheartening. And I don't even do online multiplayer too much. I just like having the option to buy DLC for my games :/Polaris19 said:That probably means it's gonna be longer than that....
I was a Nintendo fanatic before the Wii came out. After about a year of horse shit for games coming out I got an Xbox. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm not going to get the next legend of Zelda because i don't care anymore...holy shit.comadorcrack said:Well its getting harder and harder to resist the urge to just get an Xbox. But I know if I did that all I'd do is miss the Playstation. So i'm holding off on that just yet! But seriously sony. Get your shit together....
