"Oh, and there is an AMAZING big title coming to Vita. I can't tell you anything about it, except you are going to be hooked for hours"

This is a tweet from Shadid Kamal Ahmad, an employee of SCEE and the leader of it's "Strategic Content". When pressed for more info, he responded:

https://twitter.com/shahidkamal/status/332765278767288321

"I still can't post. Clarification. Hooked for hours "a day". Clue, not indie. And: alk[sic] about one title doesn't preclude others"

He had also recently signed up for an account at NeoGAF and provided more info( http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=57475800&postcount=1222 ):

"Allow me to explain something. We (Strategic Content, i.e. my group) work with third parties. We have agreements with those third parties. The games that those third parties make are *their* games, not ours. So we have no right to mention the titles, or the release plans. If we do, we could damage any launch preparation and thus finances and thus jobs. So I can't really give more of an insight than I've given.

OK, so am I tease? Possibly. That's not why I tweet. So some more things I need to tell you:
1) I don't get paid to tweet. In fact, my twitter account is my personal account

2) For those who have been following me for a while, you know what I'm like. I'm a passionate guy. I love the people I work with, internal and our third party partners. Awesome people. If I tweet, it's not a corporate statement. It's one guy, me, who LOVES games and wants to talk about that with people in the wider world I care about.

3) I can't bring you every game you want, much as I'd love to, but we are working on bring a lot of games to PS Vita and some on PS3 too.

:) There are of course many third party titles. The next few months will see many of those, quite a few of which are not announced yet. That particular tweet was me excited about one particular third party title."

Thoughts? Shadid seems to be betting his credibility on whatever this is...

Color me intrigued, even if I am not a fan of the PS Vita or the Playstation line in general. Even if it is a good game though, I highly doubt it'll help the Vita in any substantial way.

Maybe Monster Hunter? Seems like it could be.

Really annoyed at the game selection for 3DS and Vita. I don't want to get both because of expenses, but the Vita has stuff like P4G and Gravity Rush that the 3DS doesn't have, but the 3DS has Fire Emblem Awakening and SMT 4 that the Vita doesn't have.

We'll just have to wait till E3 to find out probably, among a possible slew of Vita game announcements which would be the smart thing for Sony to do at their show.

I have no idea what it could be, many things come to mind, but I don't want to make any guesses. Though the games I would want to see announced would be:

-Gravity Rush 2 (dammit it will happen)
-Soul Sacrifice 2 (hey they are already in talks for a sequel, though doubt we'd hear anything this early)
-New Syphon Filter game dammit. If Sony Bend is working on anything, it's either a new Uncharted, or a new Syphon Filter.
-Can I get a sequel to SOCOM Tactical strike Sony? ...please? It would be perfect for the Vita.
-Maybe Monster Hunter 4, it may be a timed exclusive for the 3DS for all we know.
-I'd like to see info on Frozen Synapse Tactics. An awesome game for something like the Vita.
-A new Dissidia game would make me happy beyond words.
-Barring that, how about a Vita version of FF Type-0. It would explain the lack of PSP localization *crosses fingers*
-On that note, more strategy RPGs...or just RPGs in general.
-Hey...whatever happened to Ruin? ya know...that Diablo'esqu game that was cross platform with the PS3. Being a Dioable style game, it fits the whole "hooked for hours" comment.

Well, I'll keep an eye out on this. I know people keep asking for MonHun but I can't imagine it being MonHun with Capcom's recent attitude towards Sony.

You don't have to get both at the same time. Buy one that has something you really want to play now and let its library tide you over until you can afford to get the other. That's what I did, at least. Most people would recommend the 3DS first and wait for a Vita price drop but I don't know if it'll happen anytime soon. Some people keep saying E3 2013 but I don't know where they're getting that from.

With that kind of hype Im more suspicious then excited. If it doesnt dispense free milk and cookies or turn out to be gamings Mona Lisa Im going to call it disappointing when compared to the hype behind it. If its another good game for the Vita, well good but thats really all he needed to say

I really don't trust the big developers anymore when it comes to delivery.

As long as people's short word for a 'handheld console' is still automatically 'gameboy', no one will care about the Vita. Or its games.

I don't want to poop on anyone's party here, but what does this tell us other than "a game is coming out for our console"? I would also assume Sony would want to advertise everything that comes out for the Vita as an "amazing big title". Are we supposed to be excited for the fact that there is a game coming out for the Vita? Because at the moment, that is literally all the information we've been given... Until you've got something, anything to show me, be it a trailer, a demo, a scrap of concept art even, I think it's actually impossible for me to care.

None of you are very bright, huh?

It's gonna have us 'hooked' for hours? It's clearly the reboot we've all been hoping for...

Case closed, Watson.

While all of that is true, in this case I would consider it news that another game is coming out for the Vita ;) The ridiculously small library of games will grow by ONE soon!
