News flash. ALL companies are money driven.Zack Alklazaris said:I've never liked Sony to begin with. In my experience with them they are extremely money driven, more than the accepted amount in my eyes for a profit company.
You don't have to be a diehard fan to buy her album you know ...Blunderboy said:Frankly I get more annoyed at people buying an artists albums purely because they died.
If you're such a fan, surely you already own the albums?

Everyone kind of forgotten about her and her songs over the decades. But with her death putting her back in the spotlight, it shouldn't be a surprise that there are people rebuying her albums because they misplaced them over the years or they only had them on tape (Remember those?) and are now unplayable. There might even be new buyers, people who never bought her albums when they first came out because they were too young to appreciate them back then or weren't even born yet.
I'm just glad she wasn't here to...TopazFusion said:[snip]

What's that? Sony exploiting/cock-slapping their consumers? NEVER!Saucycarpdog said:http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/02/13/10394035-sony-hikes-whitney-houston-album-prices-online?chromedomain=digitallife
I'll be honest, this disgusts me. Sony is trying to make more money off of someone's death? If anything, you should decrease prices so that more people can listen to her music. This just makes Sony look like they didn't care at all for the singer herself and only the albums she put out.
What do you guys think?

No, seriously, has no-one learnt after the debacle that was first the PS3 pricing, and then the PSN hacks? This company DOES NOT GIVE A SHIT about its consumers.
