Sony Reminds Us: OMG! Girls (Sorry, Girlz) Play Games Too

I was pissed when I first saw the damn thing now I'm absolutly livid. I hate these steriotype ad campaigns. Its sickining to see how little progress we have made as a race that we think we have to create specific adds for girls, boys, whites, black etc. This is just sad. Also I have gotten my sis(who just turned 16) into playing games a little and the only one on that list that she likes is Loco Roco, but two games she likes even more, Warhawk and the Call of Duty series. Maybe the marketing department should do some research onto the Playstation Network and find out what games the girls who have accounts are playing.
Why is t that every ruddy ad campaign aimed at Lady Gamers must replace every fucking S with a bloody Z, it annoys the fuck out of me.
I see this advertisment having about a 75% chance of not being a commerical failure, mostly because Disney has been trying to push their own games for a while now, and teaming up with Sony's PSP, will help them advertise the Console for the games their selling. Along with that, if in the future Sony and Disney teamed up, and all of the Disney games were made a single console ordeal, ther PSP would sky rocket, and the DS wouldn't be so indestructible in sales.
This isn't that bad of an advertisment, it's not condeming girls to anything negative, other then a light shade of purple, and maybe picking up a copy of Loco Roco. THough I would like to know, what makes a 'True Gamer' I thought playing games made you a gamer-aparently I was mistaken.

I belive I have found a positive ad campaign geared for girls for the PSP, but it was done by sony of japan.

These ads show how a PSP can fit into a normal day and be used for more than just gaming. I belive the north american marketing group needs to show the other things the PSP is capable of, or just rip off the japanese marketing group

Seems Sony is unaware that there are whole clans of girl gamers who play games like Unreal Tournament and Quake.

Eugh. Wanna bet this is how 40YO male ad execs market to tween girls? When I was that age I was far to busy with Pokemon and Zelda to have touched any of the girly games.
If only they would lower the price on the ps3...
