Speaking of the games, Xbox One exclusives at launch look like shit. Ryse? Dead Rising 3? Forza? Not one of those even vaguely interests me. I don't even care about Killzone, but it looks far more interesting than ANY of those titles. Enough that I am thinking of picking it up. And Sony has a nicer variety which aren't all grey and brown, including one game, Knack, that I could feel comfortably letting a child actually play. Which I think is just as important as anything else in this. Which game do you think parents would buy for little Timmy? Knack or Dead Rising 3?
Brilliant idea for pre-ordering. I really need to learn to do that. I could have all my games pre-ordered well over a year in advance if I did something like that (assuming they go up for pre-order at announcement).
Also, just to let you know: Knack is actually a pretty solid game. I managed to get a chance to play a small bit of it, it is actually pretty solid and kinda difficult. My little brother also loves it (He is around 7). I wish we could have more of these cutesy little platformers.
Thanks. It really made the sting feel much less painful (don't feel $20 a week nearly as much as $400). Plus, the Gamestop is right along my way to the grocery store, so it was a minor detour to stop in and put down a little money. My remaining balance is $27, which will be paid off this weekend on my weekly chores.
For a game, you could probably make that $5 every two weeks and have similar results.
Yeah, it looks good. I compare it to Crash or Spyro in my mind. My biggest concern is that I don't think there be much replay value in it, and it will likely only have about 10 hours of gameplay. Plus, I do expect it to be a free game on PS+ at some point. And if I can only afford one game at launch, I will probably want one with online multiplayer for longevity's sake.
Knack is one of the three launch titles I am interested in for the PS4. And that is despite the lack of multiplayer.
Have you seen some of the titles Sony is offering? Like Octodad? They seem to have no problem with colorful and odd games. Which is a strong point in their favor, I think. I mean, there are colors other than brown and grey. Who knew?
