I finally made my Section 8: Prejudice videos and went to go get a preview to see how they came out. Well Apparently one of the videos was 86GB!

Sure got good quality but over-size for my comp and youtube.

So is there any possible way to get a video rendered with 1920 x 1080 without having such big space taken up?

Umm? 86GB? Are you sure?! That's, quite a lot!

Try looking at the settings? I mean, that's bigger than a game file?! Surely you must have done something wrong!

Apparently to have good quality that isn't slightly blurred takes up a lot of space.

That didn't really help.

It's all about the encoding man. I'd recommend using MeGUI encoder if you can figure it out. It's not "too" complicated and you can always read up on it. Also when you're recording the video itself it helps ALOT to do it on lower resolutions. Also always try to go with an .mp4 format as that's usually the smallest space/best quality. You can use sony pretty well but to get max quality with vegas's codecs it will probably cost you alot of time and hard drive space. I've learned that we're more restricted by the size limit of video hosting sites than what we can do with videos so try not to make your file sizes too big.
