Oh come on, guys. Sony isn't sacrificing jack. This is their out-of-court settlement. They're hoping this will thin the numbers of the plaintiffs. These games aren't really lost sales because there's no way anyone is gonna buy this stuff new from them. Not anymore.

It's cool to get free games and stuff, I realize that. Just be suspicious is all.

Sadly, a quote from their blog reveals the following:

Access to the 30 days free PS Plus subscription is only available for those countries where PS Plus is offered. You will have access to the PS Plus content planned for May for 30 days. Access to the free games and exclusive features finishes at the end of the 30-day subscription period. Anything you buy with exclusive discounts, dynamic themes and premium avatars are yours to keep forever.
Sounds like they're not giving the games to us at all, they're giving us 30 days free play. Much less enthusiastic now.
well let us all hope that you are wrong. i sure am :p
I really really hope I am, but with a condition that ambiguous I smell a dick-move ahoy.
Considering Sony's official track record with customer treatment, I'm with you. Don't let a few games trick you all into forgetting that they took a freaking WEEK to tell you about your credit card info being stolen.

The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
the time to redeem your gifts will be 30 days. It's not at all ambiguous.

Does anyone know how much infamous and Little Big Planet trade in for at a place like EB Games?(I think EB Games is called gamestop in the US)

I might just turn this apology package into cash
You can only get it from PSN, so it's impossible to trade it in.

I already own those games, I meant selling my copies and getting free digital replacements
Better do that toot sweet. I suspect someone at EB/Gamestop is devaluing these games as we speak.

That's pretty sweet. I wonder what Australia will get as well...
I posted a similar question, then in a rush of uncharacteristic productivity actually decided to check. We get pretty much the same deal, but we also have Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty in our game options, like europe.

In my previous post I also asked about the free shit you can get through playstation plus. Apparently I didn't read the part that specifically says you do get to keep that stuff. So... cool.

R&C: Quest for Booty and... Dead Nation for me, I guess.
Got Infamous and LBP, and the other games seems lite shit.

/bows to Sony

Edit: or perhaps Wipeout HD/Fury. Dead Nation seemed more awful.

Buggery, the only game on that list I want is LBP and I already bought that ages ago.
How about just adding 10-30 euros to the digital wallets instead, we can't spend that anywhere other then the PSN anyway and then at least we can get stuff we want with it.

Guessing you need to have latest PSP firmware to access the store and download those?
I can't even get into the store with the latest update...
What I get for living in the middle of the USA instead of the coast I guess.

We own all of these already so it's lacking a wow factor for me personally. I'll be interested to see if part of the agreement of downloading the free games also entails giving up litigious rights.

We're waiting more to hear about the year of free credit monitoring. Free games are great and I hope people who go that route enjoy them. LBP was great and Wipeout is a household favorite here. inFamous not as much but we still enjoyed it.

Bought inFamous 2 days ago...
That would be your fault you knew sony was down and you didn't know what they would give should have waited.
Sorry about you wasting money.

This sucks. I already have all four of those games except Dead Nation.
Same here :/ I tend to buy a lot of PS3 games, now I feel like I'm being punished for it.
