The last hand-held video games I owned was Electronic Quarterback and Mattel's Baseball. Games where you looked at periods and dashes and pretended they were players. As much as I love games, I'm not going to carry around a gaming device.-Seraph- said:I don't see it happening. I really doubt they'd add phone features into the system, at best they are as you said, talking about both. It could still be a "threat" to apple by simply being a superior gaming system than it because Sony knows better than to bother topping the Big N; Nintendo is king of portable gaming and it will very well stay that way unless they royally fuck up. Being 2nd place and still surviving is good enough.Netrigan said:The article talks of both. Second paragraph starts off by saying it could be a serious threat to the Apple iOS platform... and that's sound like phone talk to me.-Seraph- said:This is talking about the PSP2, not the PSPhone. There is no evidence to suggest that they are the same system and the PSP2 would likely not double as a phone...maybe enhanced skype capabilities and some sort of online chat at best.Daystar Clarion said:It's a phone too?
Can anyone say N-Gage?
Non-phone PSP2... no real threat to Apple or Nintendo. But if they plan on attaching it to a phone, that could be ten kinds of awesome that could blow Apple and Nintendo out the water if they manage to hit the target.
Seriously, putting phone capabilities into it is just wasted resources because the damn thing should focus on GAMING, and GAMES, and not bother with this phone nonsense. Hell they were probably meaning the PSPhone being a threat to IOS and all that, instead of the PSP2 which I'm sure would be a more pure gaming device.
I really hate this inclination that ever fucking portable device under the sun has to be an everything; has to have phone features or mp3 built in. That shit should stay away from the true gaming devices, and even Nintendo knows that. I want Sony to succeed with their PSP2 (whenever that decides show up), but I grow more cynical of it the more it is implied to be an everything.
Considering one of the major problems they're having is balancing power, heat and battery life, it will likely come with its on RRoD. XDBroady Brio said:Does that come with it's own RRoD as well?
how to i change it so that i can play my Ages again =,CGrimHeaper said:Actually I have tried it the GB works they just made the plastic slot to small for the cartridge to fit in so you can't play it.Composer said:trys to insert a GBC game and breaks it......O-OGrimHeaper said:You have a rather slim view on the DS it seems.Jenkins said:GrimHeaper said:PsP doesn't matter the Nintendo always beats it in game selection and quality games with handhelds.
Plus the great backward capability they always have is great.
The 3ds will be cheaper as well so I don't even see the point of PsP2.
If Microsoft tries I will laugh though.
that is all opinion. just like how I feel that Nintendo's game selection on the DS is for 12 year olds.
to each his own.
