I'm not sure how this affects the rest of the world, my topic has to do with what part of Sony we deal with in their EULAs in North America.
So earlier this year before that whole Geohot thing happened Sony's EULA was signed to SCEA(Sony Computer Entertainment America). Not wanting "computer" in their name for legal reasons(to the best of my understanding anyway), they changed the name/ transferred everyone's info and wallet funds to the newly created SNEA(Sony Network Entertainment America). Now, I've just received an Email indicating they are changing(or transferring everyone's info/funds blah blah blah) to SNEI(Sony Network Entertainment International).
From the Email:
Do you know of any other company that does this?
For those outside North America, has Sony been changing it's names for you as well, or has it always ended with "International"?

As you can see, this is directly related to Sony's new anti class action lawsuit ToS they made but isn't it a little ridiculous to be changing names so often? On September 15, 2011, Sony Network Entertainment America Inc. ("SNEA") will transfer its online services operations, including your wallet and the funds in it, to Sony Network Entertainment International LLC ("SNEI"). The first time you sign in to your PlayStation®Network account on or after September 15, 2011, you will be asked to enter into a new Terms of Service and User Agreement ("TOS") and Privacy Policy with SNEI if you wish to continue using your PlayStation®Network account. Please review all changes to the TOS and Privacy Policy carefully before indicating your agreement. In particular, please review Section 15 of the TOS, which now includes a class action waiver and requires that most disputes be resolved through arbitration.
