I have to admit, that is the way it seems around here. I didn't care for the endings and was pretty pissed about it but in the end, I got over it since it is just a video game.
However, I had a bit of a morbid fascination following the outrage going on because of it. It is interesting to watch how many people have been getting up in arms all over the place. It sorta reminds me of rallying all my forces to battle the Reapers.
Everyone is fighting to break the cycle of bullshit. It is kind of nice to see gamers standing up for something instead of always just rolling over and letting publishers fuck them in the ass.
Good luck to everyone who is continually fighting the good fight. I am sure a lot of people will tell you that you are entitled whiners for it but I don't think so. I can certainly understand it, Mass Effect may have just been a video game to me but as far as games go, I've never been more attached to characters in a series before. I hope this all works out for the better in the end.
Inspiring!
-EDIT-
If nothing else comes of this, I am cracking up at the Marauder Shields meme that spawned from all of this.

But the Reapers cannot be stopped, and this has happened time and time again for countless cycles, and has been forgotten every time.

This is a very apt metaphor for crappy game publishers ruining good development companies.

Yeah now that you mention it, the metaphor does kind of fit. EA/Bioware being the reapers while all the ones who are crazy about defending them are the indoctrinated.

Just like how the reapers have destroyed many civilizations before, EA has destroyed many good game developers before, the cycle is just repeating itself again.

Wait, what. There's a marauder shields meme?

Dont you know, Bioware are the collectors and now the crucible (bethesda) needs to eat all there potatoes while EA sniffs some glue inorder to hurp derpy do........

I have no idea what the fuck that was.

Anyway goodluck to those peeps trying to help Bioware break the hold of indoctrination from EA.

Yes,
that last Marauder you face was "Marauder Shields" He's the last boss of the game, he's been waiting there all that time to make sure he was the last enemy you faced.

Alternatively, he was just trying to save you from the ending.

Ohhh... that marauder. He was the only enemy I managed to blow the head off. WWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYY did I kill him. He was just trying to protect me from the endings. I'll weep for him.

No, EA are the reapers.

Origin
Bullfrog
Westwood
Maxis
Pandemic
BioWare

All great, successful, trend-setting companies, gradually reduced to nothing after their buyout, some faster than others.

DICE are pretty much the only ones, in my eyes, to have a decent relationship with EA, though longtime Battlefield fans should comment on that.
