Sooo...how's it going?

Hey there, Escapist Party People. I'm feeling chatty, but I don't really have anything specific to talk about. So I thought I'd just ask the simple question we tend to throw about like they're no big deal and see what pops up.

How's it going?

I mean that. What's up? How are you? What has been going on in the world of you. Seen any good movies? Hooked on any video games? Any new jobs or relationships going on? Discover a new band, or try a new restaurant?

I'm just curious what people have been up to lately.

As for me, lets see...I just finished watching Digimon on Netflix (I think overall the 1st season was better than the second) so now I'm catching up on Burn Notice. I go back to college in a few days so I've been taking care of all my packing and last minute affairs now. Recently had a summer job at Target at like 4 in the morning, but they're letting me take time off for school, which is nice.

I've been on a serious kaiju kick lately for some reason. I've been rewatching all my old movies, heck I even had a thread about it on this board lol I finished a kaiju novel called Project Nemesis the other day. It was surprisingly good. A decent thriller that also involves a giant monster destroying Boston.

Things are going pretty well. Quite a few video games came out in the past few weeks that I'd like to pick up, but I'm trying to cut back on spending and save some money.

I guess that's about it. Nothing too exciting, but I'm doing alright.

What about you all? What fun and/or interesting things have been happening to you? I'd love to hear about it and see what we can all discuss.

Me? It's going alright. Only problem on my plate is getting the rest of my college tuition paid by the 15th so I don't get fined.

College is fun and I'm having an easy time adapting so far, maybe because I picked classes with little to no homework.

I've been trying to play Rome 2 Total War again and have a decent campaign going as Sparta.

I've also been spending most of my time writing some crappy story from an idea I got on another forum. Been writing a week and have 44 pages written so far.

In a little anime rut as I tried to watch Chobbits and Kaze no Stigma on Netlfix and could barely make it to my episode 10 requirement to stop watching an anime. To make it better I would love to continue watching Fairy Tail on my computer but then I can't write my beautiful story. First world problems man, are the most important problems.

A textbook I ordered wasn't in the system (but I had a receipt saying it was) until today
I had to go downtown to get my bike back but the back tire is flat D:

But overall, everything's going pretty well for my first semester of college :3

I am pretty pissed at myself today. I was parking my truck earlier and it slipped and bumped into a tree(I have to park off-road because the driveway is full) and now there's a nice big dent in my right-side door. so I have to wait until I can get some tools to pop the dents out, which will take awhile, because I'm broke. Fun.

I've been pretty tired as of late since I'm going back to school and doing some minor pre-requisites before I move on to college and do grad work as a "junior". Whatever the hell that means.

My PS3 finally finished downloading Saints Row The Third and I played a little bit of it last night and I had a blast. I want to play it again when I get home, but I have a calculus test to study for, so I don't think that's happening.

Also I bought an album from iTunes today. It was Sarah Chang playing with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and performing Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I have yet to listen to it, but from what I heard from the little samples that iTunes gives you it's pretty good.

Other than that, nothing. I live a pretty damn boring life.

Feeling pretty pathetic. Saw a girl on the bus today . She was kinda cute and we were doing that thing where we were both shyly checking each other out. I didn't have the balls to talk to her . Damn me and my fear of rejection in public! And my lack of courage and social skills !

Also i just finished act 2 on some co-op Diablo 3. Fun game . (Edit : the console version).

About to go to bed to do my PoS minimum wage job , i really gotta get my act together ... Or get hit by a car . Either one works.

I'm doing ok I guess, I got nothing to complain about for once.

My job is going pretty good & my sisters job is finally turning into something worth while, so maybe I can stop supporting her & start taking care of my own stuff.

I finally got into Minecraft the other day & I gotta admit it is digital crack. So much fun just screwing around.

Hmm I do have one small complaint. A new movie theater just opened up near me & I was planning to check it out, but the bastards opened the same weekend that The Worlds End opened & they are not showing it & that means I have to drive 60 fucking miles to go see it at another theater.

I thought I had a good relationship starting with a very lovely woman, but it didn't happen, but she told a friend of hers about me & now the friend is being very friendly to me. So I guess I'm good in that department.

All in all I gotta say I'm doing pretty damn good right now.

I'm doing OK. I recently bought Arkham Asylum on sale, been wanting to play that game for years and getting a mint condition GOTY copy made me a happy camper. Though my Winter break temp job is over, I managed to save me some money and I'm toying with the idea of going on a binge and buying a whole bunch of games. And I asked my editor at the website I write for a raise, which was promptly bestowed. Also! I'm going to the theater this weekend. I love the actors and it's been a while since I went to watch a play, it'll be fun.

On the downside... well, there's this one final exam that's been bugging me in the back of my head all year long. It's a few months from now but I'm a little scared because it's my last shot and may be overwhelmed by the truckload of texts I'm supposed to go through to prepare. And going back to the job thing, well, I'd like to get something nice and steady for a change, but so far all I seem to get are short-term gigs and temp stuff. I'm borderline OK, moneywise, but I'd like the extra income.

EDIT: Also! I've been dating this girl since February and she rocks my world. She has a crush on homoerotic manga, bakes sweet stuff constantly, is drop dead sexy and loves videogames. I feel better just by writing this!

Well i'm looking to get back into college (in the late enrollments because that's how I roll) the whole looking for jobs thing ain't going so well and I feel like I need to do SOMETHING. Not the best motivation to jump on a 2 year course but it'll work out, i'm a lucky kind of guy.

I need to fix my ever broken sleeping pattern, it's 3:10am and this is me getting up for the day. I don't sleep properly i've ended up having two 3/4 hour naps twice a day.

Maybe i'll do a few late night hours of the new Amnesia just to make sure it's not as lacklustre as people say it is. After the first half an hour I can already see what the 'Scapist review was banging on about.

I'm also trying to get to Gold in League before the next season, Silver 1 represent. I want my fancy banner and new Elise skin. My MMR wants me to get to Gold considering how much I get per win and I lose considerably less per loss, I get 9-12 per win when final divisions get REALLY stingy on handing out points.

I'm under no illusions as to the quality of players in the move up to Gold, they don't suddenly stop feeding, going AFK, raging, locking fucking Blue Cards etc etc but fuck it, I want to be living proof that a lowly Bronze 4 can rise up to be in the above average league.

Eh, not too bad, all things considered. I'm battling a fresh bout of depression and self-worth issues, but I actually know how to handle them by now, so it's going pretty well. Mostly, I'm sitting around waiting for school to start (my college has a ridiculously late starting date) and getting the last few banners in the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. Also, trying to get my new roommate to realize that he doesn't live at his parents' place any more, but the poor kid has been sheltered for so long he still spends half his time there anyways, instead of trying to figure out living on his own like he's supposed to. Sigh.

Just got back from drumline practice at college and definitely enjoying my 2nd year here. Its a stark contrast to how I felt overwhelmed dealing with baggage from school work, a nasty break up and just going back and forth so frequently(college used to be on the quarter system) from my first year.

Basically every day I feel like humming on my way to class and I'm half expecting to find some birds landing on my shoulders... not that I would complain of course

Pretty good brother, im moving into a new place in a couple of weeks which im pretty pysched about, gonna start a new university course as well, english and creative writing which is gonna do me a lot of good since i done nothing these past 2 years except wonder why my life has been going nowhere.

Seems like everyone in this thread is preoccupied with college.

Me? I decided to take a year after highschool to work and save money. I just left my job at a shitty Mexican restaurant and now I'm waiting for my new job (at a different, but equally shitty fast food place) to start. It doesn't start until Sunday though, so in the meantime I'm helping a friend out with his private contracting gig for extra cash. But the prospect of serving poison to fat Americans is what I have to look forward to.

Quite good, I am one of many in the just got back to collage group and I am quite enjoying my philosophy of law and Aristotle seminar. I am burning though my all my brain power rather fast at the moment because in addition to my classes I started making a pen and paper right before school started back up and I feel like I am constantly running our of focus.
Mental exercise is fun though and I am also quite enjoying the world I am building. Hell has sold out and now you can buy people back form the dead, their is a race of sentient children's toys a large group of which are homicidally insane, and people use their telescopes to look for gods having sex as their source of porn. Their are in fact several gods crated just for this purpose as soon as it was proven that the gods were created by peoples belief.

Going pretty bad. Got my second drive test for my license tomorrow and it doesn't look good. Failed both last exams, with a 50 on the theory(52 needed to pass) and this time I came out at 51. -_-'
Also driving up in the city with the worst statistics in all of Sweden this time. Had to take that spot since the waiting time currently is around three months. They fail so many people here it just keeps stacking up.

Doesn't help that my cat keeps waking me up at 4 am every day either.
