Regardless of why, a general disdain for remakes, hatred of the female anatomy, dislike for McCarthy brand comedies, financial worries, lizard people, an inability to blindly go along with the corporate Hollywood marketing machine that treats nostalgia the same way MTV treats music, or its just his fucking date night with the missus and all he wants is to go to a pinball arcade for an evening, it shouldn't matter to any of us.
He's an independent, free human being. I guarantee he didn't see Starship Troopers 3 Marauder, and I did while being high in my dorm room as a Freshman. And I don't hate the man for it!
