First console? Commodore 64.
First Game? Ghostbusters.

I still have yet to find a game or console that can top those.

Wow, I can only imagine that you're trying to make a statement with that title. Otherwise it literally hurts me to read something like that.

My first console was the PS1 and the game was Crash Bandicoot. It was fun, but it would be a while before I went out to get a memory card. You can't even imagine the hours I spent playing without one.

But my first gaming device was the Gameboy pocket. And the game was Pokemon Blue Version.

not sure which i got firts Sega master system II with Sonic the Hedgehog or Sega Megadrive II with Streets of rage, probably the master system. Then later got an N64 and then eventually an xbox and now a 360.
I have also recently managed to get a Sega megadrive with a master system converter and obtained a Mega CD from my dad (the megadrive II broke a few years ago so i've now replaced it) a Sega Dreamcast, and a NES. I'm also planning on getting a gamecube as my brother hates me playing on his.

Don't apologize for a thread, just search bar it, if nothing turns up post guilt free, no need to validate yourself. :p

Sega Genesis/Mega Drive was my first console with Sonic 1, I still have both and they both still work unlike many other consoles that have died around it. And I frequently use my Genesis still, I even upgraded it with a Sega CD for some Silpheed action.

My second "system" was a PC of unknown brand. I played Silpheed, Bouncing Babies, and Tetris on it.

er...

I feel like a bit of a dinosaur now. But if I was totally honest it would have to be one of those pong units you plugged into the back of the telly. It had 4 or six games;

Table tennis - Pong with small bats
Tennis - Pong with big bats
Hockey - Pong with two bats
Light gun game - I have no idea how this worked. It had a big plastic 44 magnum and you fired at a dot zipping around on the screen.

My first console was the Sega Megadrive. I was 5 years old.
My first game was Sonic the Hedgehog (back when he was still cool). How I miss those days...

My first gaming system was a PowerMacintosh G3, whose "Games" folder was populated most notably by Commander Keen, Defender, Joust, Robotron, and Zoombini.
The first console I played on was a SNES with Super Mario World.
The first console I owned was a Playstation 2 with Jak and Daxter.

The first system I played a game on was a personal computer. It had no hard drive and only sported 64k of system memory. The first game I played has been lost to me - I only know it was one of three: Alley Cats, Bouncing Babies, or Castle.

I'm pretty sure the original Game Boy was my first console, along with this Tom&Jerry game based off the movie. I can't quite remember whether any of those two was any good (I doubt it) but I can remember that it took me ages to beat that fucking game. It was ridiculously hard - or maybe it was just because I had never played a video game before. Except Tetris.

There was one cool, at least at the time, racing/shooting game. I can't recall the name though. !
You're probably thinking of Crash 'n Burn. It came with Panasonic 3DO's.

As for my first system/game I played: 2600 Pac-Man. I was VERY young. The first system/game I OWNED was an NES with Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt. Guess I'm one of the old fogeys on this board...
My friend is my age and still has his NES and still loves it. You might not be that old...
Especially since the first machine I ever played games on was this freaking thing. [http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/computers/994a_ad.html] Parsec, Hunt The Wumpus... good times, good times. ^__^ My first console was of course the NES.
