OT: Actually, my first thoughts probably wouldn't be "Are my family okay?" or "Am I alone?". They would be "HOLY ******* ****!?!? WHAT THE ****!? GIANT METEORS ARE RAINING FROM THE SKY!!!/ANGELS ARE DESCENDING FROM HEAVEN!!!/INSERT PREFERRED ARMAGEDDON HERE!!!". Then I'd probably just hide and cower for a while, and hope not to die. After that (I'm assuming I somehow survived and no-one else did) I'd try to make sure I had adequate food and water. Finally, I'd try to find and set up a generator of some kind, and get playing that backlog of games I suddenly have time for.

I realised I thought about this kind of stuff too much when I went to watch 'The Book of Eli'. At the beginning he goes into a trailer and smells something horrible, opens a door and there's a really graphic scene of a half rotten guy hanging in the closet. Pretty much everyone recoiled in shock, and I instantly whispered to the girl beside me, "He should take the guys shoes." At which point Denzel looks down, sees the guys shoes, and took them. She was a bit wary of me for a while after that. I wonder why?

I would probably turn my mind to practical matters, shelter, food and water being the most important, and I would also spend a lot of energy trying to stop myself freaking out.

They totally on't fit together either.

True, true. Actually you seem to have a nice bad evil-theme going there, except for the seemingly out of place avatar. Of course if anything it actually adds to the effect, a dark, evil, villainous assassin or thug is quite creepy... but a dark, evil, villainous cartoon pony is something else all together, particularly with such an innocent-looking expression.

And if I can't make it there hole up at my house and follow whichever of our plans works for the situation till we can meet up and rule the post apocalptic world together.
