I agree with OP on vacuum cleaner noise, but I have the same with a hairdryer. Makes me sleepy too. One noise I hate is children screaming. I don't mind it a bit, but prolonged, it drives me mad. Thank Christ for MP3 players. <_<

Favorite Noise: An autumn breeze blowing leaves around. Makes me feel calm and at ease.
Hated Noise: Woman's high pitched scream. Always makes me feel like there is a murderer in the area.

I love the sound of my or Gavin Harrison's (Porcupine Tree) drumming. Also, all those cool little noises that you used to hear in the old THPS games, like whenever you unlocked a level or completed a goal...yeah.

Sounds I love - The clash of shoulder pads and helemts, the sound of a hip-check in NHL 07, my cat purring, the sound of fingers sliding on guitar strings, and theere are some more which i'm sure will come to me later...

I don't think there are any sounds I hate, actually maybe one... whiney pre-pubescant children swearing on voice coms - usually scousers for some reason!

LOVE: Waves and streams. Anything to do with water really. My humidifier made a sound like a waterfall. Put me instantly to sleep. That and the mandolin.

HATE: The sound of an eraser on a chalkboard. Gives me goosebumps. I also hate the sound of crinkling paper. And snoring seems to bother me more than the normal amount of bothersome noises.

I like that noise you get when a car drives past you and you hear the wind rush past.

I despise the sound of someone scratching their fingernails on car carpet. For some unexplainable reason when someone does that, I shudder and my throat feels funny. It's really weird...

I hate vacuum cleaner noise. It makes me want to pick up a sledgehammer and go ballistic on the vacuum. I also hate southern accents.

I love the sound of an achievement being unlocked, and the sound of turning the page in a book.

The sound of a person coming up a grav lift in Halo Reach. Lets me know to move into position for an assassination. 2nd favorite would be the humming of a ghost when I have armor lock ready to be used.
