This season Shinichiro Watanabe and Shoji Kawamori are competing to see who can be the most Shinichi Wanatabe.

I think I lost it to laughter at the bit where he's in bed with the crab. Space Dandy is apparently...none too discriminating.

This looks entertainingly insane, enough so I might make an effort to tune in.

So is it coming Saturday subbed or have they already got a dub? Doesn't really matter considering I don't get adult swim in Canada, but I'm curious.
Strangely it already seems dubbed (I like dubs 'cause I'm weird), and the main character doesn't appear to be voiced by Steve Blum, much to my chagrin for defying trends (Cowboy Bebop' Spike and Samurai Champloo's Mugen). Maybe he voices the animal support character just to fuck with people.

That aside, thanks to Space Dandy and Kill La Kill I now have more anime to look forward to than games.

What in all the hells did I just see? Was it the reason more people don't watch Anime? Was...was it serious...?

What was going on? Do I need my eyes tested? I know they've been giving me trouble lately, but man oh man...
It seemed rather straightforward to me: a comedic space opera starring a guy with fantastic hair.

]I think it looks like a lot of fun. It's Shinichiro Watanabe's new anime (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo), so of course I'm gonna check it out, and it's something he created, so I'm more enthused for this than I was with Kids on the Slope (which I never cared for.) It's also cool how it's gonna air here the same time it airs in Japan, and dubbed, too. I'd like to see more of that in the future.
Wait, really? In that case, it just went from "Huh, I might check it out" to "Why aren't I watching this right now?"

Definitely something I will be watching in the coming Saturday. I have high hopes about this one, as it looks like a generally fun and silly show.

No no no...THAT is NOT a "dandy." THIS is a dandy:

An underaged, posh, violent, spoiled dandy who is responsible for countless deaths. Oh man, when he shot Baron Kelvin...That was his Crowning Moment of Badass.

WHAT.

Is this a real thing that is happening?
It better be. Otherwise, why the hell even bother with space travel? :p

In all seriousness, this looks like a hoot and I'm quite excited for it to come out. Don't have American television, so I'll have to hope Crunchyroll picks it up.

Was about to say, really just looks almost exactly like Redline, which isn't a bad thing, but that's a lot to live up to.

Well Just saw the episode...

It was very trippy and funny with the breaking the 4th law and lots of shout outs to other scifi.

What do you guys/girls think?

As a Toonami regular since the reboot started (since the old days, even), this is one of the best new shows they've given us. I'm definitely looking forward to next week.

I've said it once... I'll say it again... Why don't I have this series on Blu-Ray already?!

On a more serious note, the narrator reminded me of SGT Frog's narrator, especially when you can tell he wasn't really caring too much... which, to me, made those moments more funny than they needed to... The overall humor was both what I expected and not what I expected simultaneously, so that's a plus from me...

I can't say anything else until I see more episodes... but my stance on wanting this series on Blu-Ray "yesterday" still stands by all means...

Edit: Wait... This was my 777 post? Did I beat the gambling addiction again, in terms of judging shows by just one episode?

gotta say... I love anime.. and from a anime series directed by the creator of the amazing Cowboy Bebop, I expected to get a good anime series.. instead I got a horrible, unfunny, breast and ass obsessed show that made me want to piss on Shinichirō Watanabe's doorstep on protest. the only good thing the series seems to have going for it for after watching the first episode is the animation and the fact that they hopefully killed off the dandy on the first episode(probably not that lucky though)... other then that I see no reason to watch this pathetic crap.. i'll start watching toonami at 12 midnight like usual starting with the excellent series Bleach and try to pretend space dandy doesn't exist.

So imagine Cowboy Bebop only much less serious, filled with fanservice and after taking half a kilogram of ecstasy...

Fucking sold!
