As far as I can tell, because that crappy animation gave the OP's imagination a giant stiffy which needed verification.Richard Groovy Pants said:I don't care? Seriously why should this even be discussed?
Well, my guess of bikini-clad battle babes was off, then. I knew about this, but forgot. Also you're wrong there ARE space marine 'galz'. They're called The Sisters of Battle.
Which flawed information would that be?Richard Groovy Pants said:Because I can. Power armor which increases their strength so it's not like they're carrying it at all. So, I was talking real-life there, however, it would still be substantially more weight on a sniper than on an infantryman. And, if the power armor negates the effect of weight, why couldn't a female space marine so whatever she wanted, without the use of steroids and large amounts of testosterone?Neosage said:An ordinary space marine carries more than 200lbs of power armor.Bleak777 said:You realize that real snipers carry more weight than infantry soldiers, right? good luck packing 200+ lbs of gear on a female, even if she is a space marine.[Gavo said:]They would be like the women who took steroids and have large amounts of testosterone.
Or maybe they could be like snipers...some kind of light infantry. Obvious, but I can't think of anything else.
Yeah 40k is a hobby of mine, sisters of battle are not space marines.Cogito said:I (sadly) did used to play Warhammer 40K. There are female space marines, a Faction called Sisters of battle are all females, thye fight for love, truth and free abortions for all...or something!

p.s.why did you have to bring this up? i feel dirty...and the tought of all the money i wasted on this Goushi makes me itch
So, um, only the chest?zacaron said:I agree Girls would probably have big armor plates and lots of guns and the only difference between guy and girl space marines would be the chest.
Eldar are not women and I said "space marine women" which there are not [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisters_of_Battle].Richard Groovy Pants said:Pay attention.Neosage said:Which flawed information would that be?Richard Groovy Pants said:Because I can. That statement implies that there aren't any women in the Dawn of War universe, which is flawed because there [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eldar_(Warhammer_40,000)] are [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sisters_of_Battle].But it got me thinking if there were space marine women what would they be like?

Le snap![/b][/i][/quote]
Actually, for anyone who knows the 40k universe, Sisters of Battle ARE NOT SPACE MARINES!
Sisters of Battle do not have the black carapace that allows the to integrate with the suit of Power Armour to a full extent. Apparently due to physical differences only men can successful receive the black carapace implants to use the Power Armour to its full extent.
Sisters of battle wear a cut down version of the power armour that gives the protection of the power armour but not the additional strength and toughness bonuses space marines get. Ergo - Sisters of battle are weaker than space marines.
The question posed was 'space marine women', implying a space marine force comprised of women (IE - Successful black carapace implants). Well, you'd get a force similar to the eldar with less gender bias and probably it wouldn't make THAT much difference. Like the men space marines they would spend days in prayer, pick up bolters, shell a few damn Xenos and then go back to praying again.
Okay it depends on your definetions reallyRichard Groovy Pants said:Who are you to say they aren't women? Also you're using the same article I used to defend myself against me? One of us is faltering here.
