Spartacus: Blood and Sand - who else is freaking excited?

I love this show. First show that's not HBO I've been able to really get into in years. Violence, sex, slo-mo-300-like fight scenes. I'm buying the first season on DVD as soon as it comes out and literally cannot wait until the prequel season comes out.

Any other escapists like this show?

It's a decent gladiator serie. great battles, though the slomo effects and shouting get's tiresome in some scenes. It has a lot of sex scenes at the weirdest moments and sometimes feel useless in the context. I wonder what will happen in the next season if there will be one.

Don't get me wrong I watched the first eight in one evening and then watched every episode on the day it got broadcasted.

I enjoy it for the fact that, after a long day of work or school, I can put it on the TV and just sit back and enjoy it. Simple, straightforward and good bloody times

Just the first season. Second season was delayed because the actor who plays Spartacus was undergoing cancer treatments, so to tide us over they are making a prequel season a couple of episodes long that doesn't focus so much on Spartacus. Andy Whittaker will be doing a cameo though.

As for when it airs, I'm not entirely sure. S1 DVD comes in September... so after that haha.

Yea, it's cool and makes you feel good, but it's minor. But ya the episode you are on made me sad too Jan. I was totally screaming "NOOOOOO!!!!" at the tv haha.

I completely agree. It has one of the best season finales i've ever seen. Much better than The Wire or The Sopranos which i always thouhgt had terrible season finales
