im sure the majority of us play FPS games but what species are you

sniper: this species is usually found at the far end of the map picking off enemies who have just spawned. strength: one shot kill, weakness: exposed from behind

flanker: these crafty creatures are usually found on the outskirts, trying to get behind the enemy. strength: element of surprise, weakness: vulnerable from direct attack

camper: these opertunists dont hunt their prey but wait for it, usually in a corner with a shotgun. strength: can only be attacked from one angle, weakness: grenades

ambusher: these devious villians are often found putting explosives at chokepoints, they avoid direct conflict and use traps instead. strength: explosives, weakness: direct conflict

rushers: these guys usually have big guns and think that charging the enemy head on is the best option. strength: lots of fire power, weakness: limited range

so i ask thee, what species are you?

You forgot the all rounder.

The one who is happy to sneak up from the edge with a sniping rifle, wait, make his easy shots, then charge in to give the enemy some shotgun loving, before quickly melting away back into the map dumping some claymores as he goes.

You'll see a lot of those.

I'm a hybrid and there is no Kerrigan to save the zerg here!.

In other words: I'm pretty diverse, usualy just doing what needs to be done or messing about.

Altho I don't really camp.

I'm a flanker-ambusher hybrid. I flank, placing explosives behind me so they have a nasty surprise waiting when they pursue me once they respawn... once they fall for that, I place explosives where they were before and leave. Once they see I'm gone, they head back and BOOM! You'd be surpirsed how often that works. I'm a camper's worst nightmare.

flanker. I just have a fear of bullets, so I tend to stick to the outskirts and kill anyone foolish enough to brake away from the pack.

I guess i'm the logical middle ground between a flanker and a rusher. By which i mean, I position myself before I rush in.

Well rusher, but i've never foudn range an issue, in all cases i choose a rifle with a moderate clip size and something like a shotgun, in most cases my weakness would multiple people. I found on one on ones with my friend i bested most of them but in a free for all i got ganged up on alot.
meh you should have just used the regualr terms anyways, Spiner, Spy, Engineer and Heavy, your long range, your assasin, your close quarter specialist and your damage drawing juggernaut.

i can't say I've ever seen an ambusher. and what about space cadet/crappy guest?

OT: rusher. nothing bad can possibly happen if you run directly at the people with guns

Salvager: intentionally starts with the weakest weapon and takes the weapon of his victim. This is repeated indefinitely until killed.

... so yeah an all rounder.

I'm the one with capitalization!

[sub]No! Restrain yourself...[/sub]

Depends on the game. Snipers are OHK and make a cool noise? I'll snipe. Knives are satisfying? I'll go stealthy.

not seen an ambusher, i recommend you play BFBC 2 its full of 'em. if you play cod its usually the guys with scavenger and claymores

rushers, watch out for snipers and heavy MGs

I flank. With the heavy. I take my minigun, sneak round the opponents, and hit them from the side they aren't expecting. It's -because- I move like a brick that I do that, the heavy can't catch anybody that runs away, so they need to die so fast they can't run away.

When I play games like BC2, I'm definitely still the flanker. Hells, my best ever killing spree was with the Beretta. What can't see you can't fight back. I usually roll recon or engineer, engaging as close as I can to the enemy without being spotted. The recons camouflage helps close distance and making medium range kills with the sniper is a piece of cake - combine that with recon orbs and you've basically got mastery of the situation. The engineers suppressed gun makes ambushes easy, without a muzzle flash it's far harder for enemies to get a bearing on where you're firing from.
