As you can tell by my avatar, i'm a fan, just wondering if anyone else on The Escapist is a fan, and their thoughts on it.

I think its good. However I don't watch it on a regular basis. Better than a lot of other crap they put on the flashing magic box.

I've seen it a few times, it's alright but then again i've never been a spidey fan. I've seen the first 2 films but the only times I read the comics was when he crossed over with the punisher.

Decent. Animation style is a little too Ben 10-ish for me, and the plots are over-troped, but eh. It's Saturday morning cartoon stuff.

Also, Ben Reilly is the real Spider-Man.

I'm more partial to the unlimited series, seeing as that new one looks about as interesting as finding out how much glass I can swallow before I die (No offense, i'm sure it appeals to some people [not the glass part... well there's always someone] but I just don't like the way it looks or feels, so naturally I hate it)

as much as I miss the old theme I'm really coming to like spectacular spidey's theme and I constantly have it going through my head.

I'm a fan, I just recently finished watching the end of the second series, and there's some real quality writing and awesome fight scenes in these eps. Especially during the Venom eps. Hope it continues.

It's a step up from that CGI abomination from MTV, but it still doesn't quite reach the heights of the animated series from the 90's, in my opinion. 'Course, I grew up watching that show religiously, so nostalgia might be a contributing factor here.

When nostalgia is the issue just remember that its made by the guy who made gargoyles and just as awesome.

Spiderman is pretty cool. The movies were good and the comics were good, as far as I remember.

I originally thought it to be an uninspired ripoff of my beolved 90s series but they actually got rid of a good number of that show's flaws while being much more active in subplotland this time around. Characters are a lot more expressive too (Jonah Jameson and Eddie Brock in particular; the look on Eddie's face when he regains the symbiote in Season 2 is one of the most subtly disturbing things I've ever seen in a "kids" toon, assuming you've seen his past appearances).

The episode titles being based off College Classes and the ambitiously awesome combat-fest called 'Gangland' makes it seem that writers are trying to make it out to be more than it is, but we'll be watching for a third season.

I initially thought that the series looked bad, but I watched it, and it was freaking awesome. The animation is good, the writing is pretty good, and the voice acting is pretty good as well.

I also really enjoyed the way they introduced a number of supporting characters from the various different comics.
