It could also be that the police department has received a lot of complaints about speeding, and they finally sent an officer out to monitor traffic for a day or so. You can probably expect a car out there if there is a lot of speeding along the road.

it is a road i have never seen cops on before and so every one drives 40 on it and most of it is 20~25. i was doing 37 in a 30 or 35

If there were other cars on the road, you can contest if you were keeping time with the traffic. That's a fun fact-they can't do anything to you IF you can prove you increased speed to meet traffic speed. That's legit.

If not, well, you were speeding. If it's a 35...they're grasping at straws. Go to the DMV and grab a copy of the driving laws. Most states allow for a 5-10 mph over posted limit, no penalty.
