If there were other cars on the road, you can contest if you were keeping time with the traffic. That's a fun fact-they can't do anything to you IF you can prove you increased speed to meet traffic speed. If not, well, you were speeding. If it's a 35...they're grasping at straws. Go to the DMV and grab a copy of the driving laws. Most states allow for a 5-10 mph over posted limit, no penalty.
