How heavily do you rely on it? Despite how much I read I'm a terrible speller and I'd probably be pretty screwed posting here without it.

My spellchecker is my brain.
I rely on it heavily, otherwise I make spelling mistakes.
which I rarely do, but it is not unknown.

I rely on it. I don't always need it but it helps me out a lot.

Everyone should rely on it.

Quite heavily. I'm a fairly poor speller (although my spellcheck annoys me when it uses americanised words).

Why? If you can spell without the use of a spellchecker then why should you still rely on it?

My web browser tells me when I spell something wrong so my grammar on here has no excuse not to be perfect.

I'm an engineer. We're notoriously bad at spelling. Thank you Firefox for making it possible to understand me.

There's spellcheck?

I generally spell words right.
Are you talking about the red line that tries to convince me to spell words the American way?
If so, I ignore it.

Because you can make a mistake without noticing it. Even if you can spell a word you could miss-spell it, perhaps by writing to fast and accidentally replacing two letters in a word. I.e. Spelling donkey "dnokey"

I'm quite good in regards to spelling. I don't really rely on it, but it's nice to have it there for when something completely stumps me or to draw my attention to some particularly sloppy typing.

The spellchecker doesn't help my spelling as much as it does my typing. I'll know how to spell the word and just fail typing it out properly, then the little red underline lets me know.

Fair enough, but I wouldn't class that as relying on it, I would say it's more, using it as a safety net.

I usually spell everything correctly, but a once-over with Spellcheck is never a bad thing (unless by clicking Spellcheck you activate a nuclear missile launch, then it's a bad thing).

That does sound better actually.
