Spiderman 4 cancelled...... WHY!!!!?

It was probably cancelled because Spiderman 2 and Spiderman 3 were horrible excuses for movies. The first Spiderman was fantastic, but the movies became really bland once 2 rolled around.

Spiderman 3 must be some kind of achievement in terrible movies, in my opinion.

Sorry I phrased that wrong, I don't want Wolverine in a spiderman movie, I meant i would like them both to appear in an avenger movie.

What I would like is something like the Iron Man where Shield operatives or Nick Fury are paying an interest in him, but not the major plot. Perhaps Nick Fury and shield are buying weapons/tech from Osborn, Spiderman foils him as the Green Goblin and also reveals the evil stuff Norman's doing to shield. Nick Fury is then shown looking at dossiers or something about Spiderman.

I want less peter, not no Peter Parker, Spiderman 2 and 3 were like 70% Peter being stressed/poor/emo. So have your scenes where you set him up at the start, a few ones showing the impact of the career, but keep it streamlined.

I have never heard of this film, is it like the rumored sequels to the matrix, Aliens 3 and prequels for star wars? Because I believe those films do not exist.

I'm with this guy. I'm not a hardcore fan of Spiderman or anything, but I still found them entertaining and this will just be sad. Also, welcome to the Escapist.

Plus there was nothing ever very special about the Spiderman movies and Spiderman 3 proved Tobey Maguire sucks as an actor. That may be an unfair statement but that's the way I see it.

What do you have against Alien 3?

Nothing as it doesn't exist.

But if it did it would be because it killed off Hicks and Newt right at the start and involved a bald Sigourny running around a crappy prison planet being chased by an alien singular, where as the sequel had many Aliens (whence the name).

Also because the original plan for the movie, was them all returning to earth, which has bladerunner style megacities (the ones with mysterious steam coming from everywhere). Where the Aliens get into the sewers breed massive numbers and eventually swarm up to take over the world. The only thing in their way? Battalions of Colonial Marines fighting them for every inch of the planet. The only problem is they didn't have the money or effects for this.

I don't mind Alien Resurrection though...

I love rumors! Facts can be so misleading, where rumors, true or false, are often revealing.

The big studio remembered what crap number three was and decided not to shame themselves and the Marvel name any further. But if the rumor you state is true then i'll not give it a moment of my time to waste because Mr. Fagginson will probably not chase Mary Jane and instead try to get into Harry's pants, then leave him as well

I'm going to take that in a lighthearted humourous way (thank you smiley).

But while Alien Resurrection wasn't a great movie (or even a good movie) it had a fun rag tag group of space scoundrels (with Ron Mother-flippin' Perlman) fighting a lot of aliens. Sure I'd probably never watch it a second time, but I enjoyed it far more than 3 (especially as I watched it after 3).
